I got this body pillow when I was 8 months pregnant and was having trouble sleeping through the night comfortably. The package insert suggests several ways of sleeping with the pillow. I first tried sleeping with the closed "hook" end between my knees, but I had a lot of trouble turning over during the night - I had to extract one leg and insert the other under the pillow just to roll over. I reversed it so that the hooked end was under my head, and that was more comfortable. I found that I got very hot during the night being surrounded on all sides by the pillow. And, since the body pillow sort of replaces your regular pillow, there was no way to turn the pillow over to find that cool spot.
On the plus side, it was very relaxing to have this pillow surround me on all sides - my back and stomach were adequately supported, and it definitely facilitates the side sleeping that is recommended for pregnant women. While I had previously been feeling back and hip pain when I woke up in the mornings, it disappeared when I used the body pillow. Since I bought it, I have been alternating between this pillow, my regular pillows with an extra between my knees, and a wedge-shaped pillow for nights when the heartburn is unbearable.

This pillow was recommended to me by a friend with the following precursor: "Yeah it's an expensive pillow, but it's worth every penny!" She was right. My sleep has improved tremendously since purchasing this pillow. I began to have trouble sleeping when I was six months pregnant, and am now eight months pregnant. There are many different positions you can use the pillow in to improve your level of sleep. You can even use it after giving birth for breastfeeding support.

I bought this for my wife when she hit 14 weeks prego because she was using a regular pillow for support in between her legs. She wasnt really complaining at that time about the regular pillow but I knew it would only get worse, so I decicded to get this and let me tell you it was a life saver. Once we received the package this first thing I did was remove the cover and wash it. Yes the cover takes a little TLC but seriously it took me 5 mins to remove it and maybe 10 mins to put it back on after washing. Im not sure why alot of the women in here are removing and putting on their selves anyway (Get your husband to do it). This is a large pillow and does take up half the bed. With that said I only use a quarter of our QUEEN size bed anyway. I am 6'1 and 220 lbs so im not a small guy. My wife is 5'3 and this thing completely engulfs her (mean that in a great way). She absolutely loves it and wont go to bed without it. Please get this for your wife if she is prego, you will be glad you did as I have yet to hear my wife complain about back pain or anything. She is now 24 weeks and doing great. The only bad thing I can say about this pillow is that it does take a little while for my wife to get undone from it when needing to take those oh so urgent middle night/morning pee breaks, but all in all I give this pillow a 5 outta 5 just because of what it does for the price.

I Purchased this pillow when I was 6 months pregnant and started to have back pain continuously. I did get good sleep but the pillow is shrinking on the sides where we keep our hands and legs and not that stiff after only 2 months of usage. For the price of this pillow, I expected the quality to be much better than this.
Other than that, I give good rating to the pillow.
