This way you will release two separate foam pieces - 3 thick base & the 2 thick top piece * 2 tall border around the baby surface is a wonderful new security feature that helps prevent a baby from accidentally rolling of the pillow. Its a great help to the first time moms still learning how to position/latch their baby. * Try using only the foam base of your ONA pillow first. That will put the baby feeding surface at height/thickness of 3. You can also use both foam pieces (stacked) to get your ONA pillow thickness to 5.
