3 out of 5 stars Wedge not high enough   November 16, 2008
M. Bowman (Pittsburgh, PA)
This wedge was okay, but was not steep enough to help my daughter with her nightime reflux. We ended up purchasing a Med-Slant for an adult, then we only used the smaller half and that worked much better. This wedge is okay if you are only looking for a slight wedge.

1 out of 5 stars Where is the side support?   January 18, 2008

Without side support infants can roll off the wedge during sleep possibly causing injury or death.

3 out of 5 stars Baby tends to roll off - at angle   October 17, 2007

This product is ok. My 3 month-old son sleeps on this every night and he is slightly elevated which probably helps with his GER. However, we usually find him in the morning at the bottom of the pillow turned sideways with his head near the crib railing because he manages to roll his way off of the pillow at night. I think it would be better if it were slightly concave so that he couldn't do this.

4 out of 5 stars Worked pretty well   October 1, 2007

I bought this b/c my baby had acid reflux and did not like to sleep lying flat on her back. I actually bought a bunch of crib wedges and compared them and this was the best on in my opinion. I like that it has velcro to attach to the crib bars, rather than having to put it underneath the crib sheet like other wedges which is so tight it can never fit. I also use the Ultimate Crib Sheet on top of the mattress so I actually just have the crib wedge directly underneath that. If you don't use the Ultimate Crib Sheet, I'm sure it would be fine to use the wedge directly on top of your mattress.

My baby was better able to sleep in her crib once I used a crib wedge. She stopped immediately crying when I put her in. However, my baby is quite a mover in her sleep, so she does not stay long on the wedge. After a few hours of sleeping, I would always find that she was in another position elsewhere in the crib. But she was like this before too. The wedge did what I needed it to do - let my baby accept being put into the crib.
