Best Toddler Toy Ever! November 18, 2008 Tracey (Juneau, AK United States) I bought this for my two-year-old while on vacation- he played with it regularly for more than a year! As other reviewers have noted, there are many ways to play w/ this toy-sorting, etc. I should note that my (then) two-year-old is now nearly fifteen! I went looking to see if this toy was still around since I now have my very 1st niece. Happy to see that Lauri is still in business and making this toy.
Looks OK, but "tote" is a little disappointing December 17, 2007 Granny (Grosse Ile, MI United States) I purchased this as a gift so it hasn't been played with yet. Hopefully it will get the approval of our toddlers (Grandchildren), but the tote is cardboard and arrived slighty torn at the top edges where it opens. I can see it deteriorating quickly. I wish the description had noted the tote is cardboard as I truly thought it looked plastic in the photos, which would hold up better.
Educational and fun! June 7, 2004 B. Nelson (AL) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This keeps my 2/12 year old daughter busy and interested. She plays with it daily and has had it a few months. It is one of those toys they don't outgrow and figure it all out in just days or weeks at this age. She matches the pieces very well and there are other challenges ahead for her with this toy that she is figuring out. This is the age where they love puzzles, matching and sorting and a great time to learn shapes.
Great toy! January 5, 2004 Bought this for my 21 month old, and he and his 4 year old sister play with it about 4 times a day! Aside from keeping the pieces out of my little guy's mouth (thank heaven they're not a choking hazard...he just likes to chew on the foam pieces) he loves it!
Super Fun October 10, 2003 I bought this for my 2yr old and he loves it. He enjoys being able to match the pieces and he makes up little games with the animal shapes, and he enjoys the independence he gets from being able to put his 'shape searchers' together himself. Great for teaching shapes and colors. Overall very durable, but I would watch out for the frames being stretched out. My toddler stretched a couple out by trying to wear them as bracelets ;-) otherwise very hardy and will stand up to most toddler play.
