Much better alternatives out there for baby carriers November 20, 2008 New Mom in the City (New York) Baby Bjorn was the pioneer for baby carriers 10 years ago but since then there has been an explosion in the market - slings, front carriers, pouches, etc. The BEST, in my honest opinion, is the Ergo. The baby sits with correct posture (The Bjorn is not so great for the baby's spine) and the parent is not in pain! I can walk for hours with my 20 lb baby in the Ergo -- not so in the Bjorn.
very happy November 2, 2008 Reza Zandinejad (israel) we have a preemie and she doesn't like to be alone. this carrier allows my wife and i do house work and have our baby girl close to us. i do recommend this item.
Still great after 5 children-also good for all body shapes October 24, 2008 Sarah H. Martin (Acworth, GA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I received the Baby Bjorn as a baby gift in 2002 with my 1st child. I used it constantly and really liked that it freed up my hands. My son did the forward and rear facing and was very happy. He would fall asleep easily and stay asleep when we were out. I let a friend borrow it for a year and she loved using it too! Since then, I have had 3 more children. I used it constantly with my 2nd and 3rd. I prefer a sling with a newborn, but this is great once they are a few months old. It is still in great condition and will easily make it through many more children. The only drawback was that if the child was forward facing they would drool on the carrier and sometimes the black would get on their clothes. I would just use a burp cloth around the edge so this wouldn't happen. Now, Baby Bjorn came out with the bibs you put around the edge to solve this. I am a plus size Mom so I am so happy with how this easily fits on me. My husband also will wear it since it can easily adjust to fit him and it is a neutral color. It feels fine on my shoulders. I wore my 1 year old son while a few months pregnant all over Disney World and it was great. I have tried other infant carriers and this is the best one I have found!
There's a reason October 21, 2008 msiler here... (Portsmouth, NH) ...everyone has them - They are great! Great as a gift or for yourself. You won't regret having one.
Awesome Baby Carrier September 19, 2008 Kyle Bell (Chicagoland, IL USA) The BabyBjorn is a great baby carrier. While it's not switchable to wear on the back that simplicity actually makes me like the product more. My wife and I tried a carrier that could be worn on the front or back but there were so many straps it's hard to get into and out of and get your child into. The Baby Bjorn is very simple and secure and my daughter loves riding in it. I've taken to carrying her around the house in it just to do everyday things because she loves riding in it so much and it keeps her calm and happy to be held. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a carrier.
