Product Description Soothe baby to sleep with the sights and sounds of a mesmerizing Aquarium, right in the comfort of the crib. Swimming fish, gentle bubbles and softly glowing lights join with calming music and serene aquatic sounds (ocean waves, falling raindrops, babbling brook) to ease baby into slumber. And when morning comes, baby can enjoy quiet play with friendly characters. The smiling clam opens up when the roller ball is batted; the starfish spins when baby presses a lever. Baby can start motion, lights and sounds by pressing the shell button. Requires 4 "D" alkaline batteries (not included). 3 settings! 1. Music, lights, bubbles & swimming fish 2. Music & lights 3. Music only-3 soothing songs play for up to 10 minutes
Editorial Review This toy will make you want to take a nap. Equipped with straps that attach it to a crib, this play aquarium and music maker is the perfect thing to amuse a child or soothe them to sleep. There are three settings, depending on what kind of stimulation is needed: music only; music plus soft glowing lights; and music plus lights, bubbles, and moving fish. There are also three music options, the best one offering soft and melodic New Age fare, the other two somewhat odd, spacey versions of familiar lullabies. The music combined with the lights creates an instantly peaceful, soothing ambiance. There are a couple of buttons and doodads for baby to bat around that make the fish react in various ways. If these buttons were a little more responsive, this toy would be near perfect. --David Stoesz

Not happy September 19, 2008 Happy Mom (England, UK) All this aquarium did was disturb my son's sleep. It seems to be made pretty well, but I don't see the benefit of having one of these in my child's crib. The amount of times he would switch it on and play with it therefore waking himself up was crazy! In the end I removed it. Total waste of money!
Where does the water go??? September 8, 2008 stacie (Fairfax, VA) I received this product as a gift when my son was a few months old. After having it in storage for a couple of years I took it out this morning to put it up for my daughter and there's barely any water left. I called the consumer number on the back and I was told that yes, sometimes the water evaporates but no one knows where it goes. I was told it was a mystery. And there's no way to replace it. I expected a little something other than an "I'm sorry" from the very nice woman I spoke with, but no. We liked it very much for my son and would have given it a four star rating, but based on the fact that it does not survive the test of time, I give it only one star. As far as discarding it, I was told to bring it to an electronics recycler. There goes a few more bucks on a toy that has no use to me. Sigh.
Still going strong! June 23, 2008 Ashley Kotto My mother bought this new for my first son when he was born three years ago. They weren't selling it at Babies R Us anymore because of a newer version, but she insisted on this one and was bummed that it wasn't available. My older sister used it for her son and raved about it, that's why my mother wanted this one specifically. Luckily we found one, only one, at Baby Depot (Burlington Coat Factory) for only 11.95. My boys absolutely love it. My older son used it in the nursery until he got a "big boy" room at 18 months, after his little brother was born. Our younger son doesn't use it for sleeping anymore but it entertains him in the morning so he doesn't wake up crying. Music mode, running water mode, and also a mode with soothing lights and bubbles (with or without music). I know it's expensive now but if someone gives you one, keep it! If you find one second-hand, buy it! Don't hesitate.
Durable toy for baby June 1, 2008 JenandGidon (Seattle) We bought this aquarium secondhand for $5. It's an older model that isn't being sold anymore. We've been using it every night for at least a month (up to 45 minutes), and batteries are still strong. Bebe loves watching the fish roll around in the bubbles and lights. She also loves flicking the spring that makes the starfish spin around. Four things I don't like about it: the colors of the fish are a bit weird to me, I wish this model had a remote (the new one does), I wish the music was longer than 5 minutes, and the New Age music creeps me out. One thing I do like about it is that you have the option of lights and bubbles with no music, or music with no lights and bubbles.
Still using it March 20, 2008 Leslie (Santiago, Chile) I bought this product back in 2005 for the birth of my first baby. The bubbles stopped working on it,so I was quite disappointed . My daughter is now using it in her crib. And she's 18 months old now. So it's been a pretty good toy to have for the crib. I just wish it would have kept working properly. My daughter loves the lights and music it plays.
