5 out of 5 stars Fun for years to come   November 14, 2008

We've had this toy for three years and through two playful children. It has held up really well and is fun for ages 9 months- 4 years.

3 out of 5 stars Newer isnt always better   February 29, 2008
La Toya
The bus does do what it advertises. It teaches the alphabet and signs songs.

I say newer is not always better bc the older version of this bus is great. My son has the older version and I bought these this past Christmas for my god children thinking it was exactly the same. The older version has about four or five levels. It teachs the alphabet, then the next level quizzes the child on the alphabet. The level above that teaches phonics, it goes over the sound of every letter. The level above that then quizzes the child on the phonics. I believe the older one is better because my son is now 6, and he can still benefit from this toy. I bought his the toy when he turned 1yrs old for christmas, now that he is in kindergarden I brought the toy back out and he uses the phonics level to re-enforce his reading skills ( WHICH ARE EXCELLENT BY THE WAY).

So, if this is a 'nice' gift for a child then the new version is good. But if its for your own child or one you truely care about Look for the older version. The bus of the older version is a bit bigger but its also better!!!

5 out of 5 stars Our son learned his letters and phonics from this bus   February 22, 2008
K. Hill
We purchased this for our son about 2 years ago. He started out pushing the buttons randomly on it (his favorite was to push the music note and hear the alphabet song over and over). As time progressed, we noticed his interest in the bus grew, and he became more calculating about which letters he pressed. He is nearly 3, and I am convinced that the toy helped teach him all of his letters as well as basic phonics (he had learned all of his letters by the time he was 18 months). He likes to spell his name out by pressing the letters on the bus! It is not a flashy toy, but our son absolutely loves it. This is a great addition to any toy chest!

4 out of 5 stars My 11 month old granddaughter likes this bus   February 20, 2008
CECILE ALONGE (Palm City, FL)
My granddaughter is 11 months old and this toy is kept at my house. She comes to my house once a week and usually plays with this toy first. I have many other toys at my home for her.

5 out of 5 stars What a fun toy!   February 10, 2008

My son received this as a Christmas gift from his Godparents and let me tell you, what a hit! He absolutely LOVES this toy. As we all know, it can be difficult to find toys that not only grab baby's attention but keep it! Our son has only had this toy one day and it's already provided SEVERAL hours of entertainment. It has several modes from only saying the name of the letter to making the sound of each letter and singing songs. The entire alphabet runs around the rim of the bus and "Leap", "Lily" & "Tad" are the passengers. Each piece snaps into place so while driving the bus around they do not fall out. The front position on the bus also doubles as an interactive slot and each character put in that position makes different sounds or songs depending on what mode it's set on. (They each have their own verse of "Wheels On The Bus"). The music note on the side sings the ABC's. Also, I should note that there are two volume settings which is nice when you need toys more on the quiet side or feel like rockin' out with baby. :)
I rated this toy 5 stars for durability b/c anyone that's a parent of boy(s) will agree with me when I tell you that boys put a whole new level of stress on toys and the like. My son is rough! He will be 1 year in a couple weeks but I do believe he has the potential strength of "Bam-Bam". He has already managed to throw Lily across the room (we have solid concrete floors) from sheer excitement and my husband and I both thought she was in for it, but I must say I didn't even find a scratch.
I gave this toy a 4 star rating for educational b/c it is only alphabet learning. Which isn't a bad thing, it's just nice to see numbers included too.
I should also add that within minutes of play, my son had already figured out how to push this toy along with one hand and crawl along beside it make "brrrrrrmmmm" noises the whole while. Which was fun for us to see him do for the first time!
Buy this toy- you WILL NOT be disappointed!!
