Love this swing!! October 24, 2008 Cynthia M. Perry I am the mother of four, ranging from age 16yrs down to 3 months. I have owned 3 different baby swings in my childrens lifetime, and this one is my favorite. I actually purchased this swing to replace one that made a horrendous amount of creaking noises(while operating). This one is whisper quite, and plays the highest quality classical music I've ever heard on a swing. It actually sounds like it's coming from a CD (but out of a lower quality player). The seat is very comfy looking, hangs hammock-like, with no hard plastic. I highly recommend this swing!!!
Cute AND functional October 3, 2008 Katie Bee (Cleveland, OH) This swing is overall excellent, good value for the money. It is sturdy and safe, yet light enough that I can move it from room to room. The extra cushions make it comfy for any size baby. My daughter is now almost 10 lbs and we just got rid of the tiny cushion a few weeks ago. She did not like to swing until she was about a month old. Now she loves it! I put her in while I take a shower, or prepare dinner, etc. and with all the buckles I know she is safe and happy. The only cons are that it runs on batteries - we would have preferred it to plug in. But it really is pretty reasonable on battery use - we have only changed them once since purchasing and in retrospect I don't think they were actually dead, I just didn't press the button right. Also, because there is nothing to stop the swing's motion even when it is off, it can be hard to put baby in and out especially if she is squirming. Also the sounds and music are kind of tinny and cheap sounding, but baby actually loves it more for that! This swing has been a lifesaver and we are very happy with our purchase. In fact we want a second one for upstairs!
good swing for larger baby September 27, 2008 Cyrca (Orangevale, CA) I received this swing as a gift. After putting it together, I realized that the tray was entirely in the way and was totally unnecessary for my 2-week old daughter so removed the piece. I'd recommend not placing the tray onto the swing until you actually need it, otherwise it's rather difficult to place the baby in or take out of the swing. The only reason I don't give a 5-star for the product because I think it's way too big for a newborn or little baby. It does take me a few minutes to adjust everything around her and if she's already crying, it's hard to calm her in the swing. I can however see how a larger baby can enjoy the swing more, hope to see what happens when my daughter gets bigger.
Perfect! July 2, 2008 H. Usoltseff (Alaska) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this for my sister for her first baby and she loves it! I was looking for something with a little of pink in it, as she had a girl, and also something for her small space. She says it fits perfectly into her tiny apartment, and she loves the colors. But most of all, she loves that her baby loves to sleep in it - and she should know, her baby was coliky!
Takes too long to get infant into 5-point harness June 14, 2008 Mr. Ditto 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
Swings will calm a baby that is wailing. But the problem with this swing is that it is way too difficult, and takes way too long, to get my crying baby into the 5-point harness. It is awful. When the swing finally does put the little guy to sleep, opening the swing always results in a slight "thud" that wakes him up and re-starts the crying. We received this swing as a gift. I would not purchase it.
