Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars I would not buy again   November 11, 2008
Peter's Day (southern california)
Plastic corners hold the struts broke one of the first times I snapped them into place. THey break one corner at a time then the pen falls apart. The music box never worked as the batteries do not fit inside correctly. Target and Eddie Bauer refused to honor a garuntee. Have you read their on line garuntee, What a joke. THEY DON'T CARE and this is expensive item you do not want to pay the money and get a worthless item. We bought other Eddie BOWER items we are not satified with: High CHair, car seat, and stroller. Very disappointed.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Pack & Play.   October 2, 2008
C. Szyszkowski (Long Island, NY)
I have this for my son, mine is just a different color. Dark Brown. It was a little frustrating that the directions were in a tiny pocket, but I only searched for maybe 2 minutes before they fell out of the pocket. Very sturdy. Used the bassinett until he was 2 months old, and the changing table until he was 1 1/2 months old. He's 7 months now and still uses for overnights at grandmas house! Excellent item

5 out of 5 stars Don't give up, it can be assembled!!!!!!   January 30, 2008
Corina Holland (Gladewater, Texas, USA)
My mom bought this for me while it was on clearance. When I opened it up, I THOUGHT I knew why it was on clearance, but sadly....I was wrong. (I know, I know, it doesn't happen often) lol jk ;)
Anyway, the reason I thought it was on clearance was because there were no instructions with it, and my husband and I spent almost an hour trying to get it to click into place. I was wondering why this playpen hadn't be recalled!!!!
Well, I got online to see if I could find the instructions, and found a nice reviewer who pointed out that the instructions are in a small pocket inside the playpen. WOW! I FELT STUPID!!!!
SOOOO...my husband and I decide to give this playpen one more try before returning it. We found out what we were doing wrong. We had OPENED the playpen and clicked the bottom into place....WRONG!!!! Leave it up. Click those sides into place first!!! Now just push the bottom down. THERE YOU GO!!!!
Well, once we got the thing assembled and started using it, we thoroughly enjoyed it! I like the color and it does feel very sturdy.
Hope this helps!!
CORINA

5 out of 5 stars Our baby LOVES this thing!   May 22, 2007
Brand New Parents

Our 2-month old baby likes being held a lot, so we have a hard time putting her down. We've tried many things, but this is the only product that she's truly happy in. She stays in it for over an hour straight sometimes without complaining! She loves looking at the mobile, loves the music (so do we - it's not annoying music like some other products), she likes the vibrate option, and there's also a great light and changing table. This playard is top-of-the-line:
- It's *GREAT* quality
- It's *GREAT* looking (we've had TONS of compliments)
- It's *NOT* hard to put together (I don't agree with the other reviewer who had a hard tome putting it together)
- Our baby *LOVES* it, so what more can a parent ask for?

1 out of 5 stars cannot get it set up ! OK NOW IT WORKS !!   April 16, 2007

Is nice if you can get it set up. The railings along the top fold and have some sort of handle or clasp that is supposed to snap and lock into position.

Very difficult to get it to lock into position. We got it set up once and liked it. But when I took it down and put intot he carrying bag, then opened up I could NOT get it to lock into position. The mid-point of each rail has some sort of handle that lets you push upward to relase the rail and fold it for storage. However it does not let you snap back inot lock position.

I'm going to search the internet for instructions or else toss it in the trash tonight.

OK ! I figured it out. I found a link that mentioned the directions were in a flap on the bottom of the unit. I found out that :

1. open the unit pulling from opposite corners (without setting center floor pin )

2. Snap short edges into place

3. Snap long edges into place

4. push center floor pin ito place

I bump it to 2 * for the hassel. But if I would have know this ahead of time I think it is of 4 * quality
