1 out of 5 stars Not at all worth the money   November 30, 2008
N. Syed (Fairfax, VA)
I would never buy a Baby Bjorn again. The carrier is overpriced for what it is. It is, in all effects, a newborn/infant carrier. It's a LOT of money to lay down for a carrier that you can use for less than a year, and in many cases it is much less than a year.
The carrier also poses some comfort/positioning concerns. For the person wearing the carrier, it just isn't very supportive. It's better than older models, but still not comfortable by any means once your baby weighs more than 10 lbs.
The carrier also hangs baby by his/her crotch, which is not good for their hips and spine. There are much better options out there, and most of them cost significantly less than this carrier.

5 out of 5 stars Baby Bjorn Baby Hands Free   November 25, 2008

The Baby Bjorn carrier is one of the best baby products we have purchased. It is easy to use, easy to adjust to any person's size, and best of all, our daughter loves to be in it.

5 out of 5 stars I could not get through my week without this product   November 16, 2008

A total lifesaver! I had the Babybjorn air carrier, but after 30 minutes carrying around my 10lb newborn , my shoulders were killing me. I returned that one and bought this one and I love it. I am able to carry my son around for more than an hour and he's 21 lbs now. I have used this product from everything to carrying my son around the grocery store to hiking all around Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and Mauna Kea.If you are going to get a BabyBorn get this one. It is a bit more expensive, but well worth it. The carrier is very, very durable, light weight and my son stays very cool in it which is a must for Hawaii weather.

5 out of 5 stars Well Designed Baby Carrier.   November 8, 2008
Gary Peterson (San Diego, California USA)
We have a newborn baby boy and he's now a month old. Wanting a carrier, my wife first tried a sling. She found it to be nice looking but uncomfortable for her and awkward for the baby. The next selection was the "BabyBjorn Baby Carrier Synergy" which I am reviewing here. We chose the white model and have been very satisfied with it.

Our baby now weighs about 11 pounds. He fits nicely into the carrier and we arrange him facing his mother. When he gets older and larger, we'll turn him forward. In any case, he seems very comfortable and completely at ease. We've noted many times that he may be crying when we put him into the carrier, but when he's in and Mom is walking around he becomes quiet and seems fascinated by his surroundings. We've had no trouble with him and it seems to work every time. We take him into stores and other public places and he remains quiet and well behaved. Part of this must be due to the carrier.

We go on walks every other day and our hikes are up to three miles at present. We plan to increase the distances as part of our fitness program and it won't be long before we're doing five miles or more. So far, my wife is the only one of us to use the carrier. She reports that the fit is good cross the shoulders and back and the baby presents no burden, even on our longest walks. Our baby seems to like the walks and has remained quiet and well behaved even on the longest of them. The carrier is nicely designed and is amply adjustable. We anticipate no problems as the baby grows and as I start to use the carrier.

This is a nicely designed quality product that's comfortable and easy to use. It's well constructed and is an attractive, sporty piece of equipment. The price seems a bit high, but we expect it will have good resale value when our boy finally outgrows it.

5 out of 5 stars Love it!!!!!   November 2, 2008
D. Cabalo (Honolulu, Hawaii)
I purchased this carrier for our trip and since my son loves to be near me, it really came in handy. I previously had a another carrier and it was uncomfortable for me and caused a lot of back pain. We decided to purchase the synergy Bjorn and it did everything we expected and more. I used it for hours without back pain and my son loves it because of the fact that he was near me and still could see everything facing forward and he also loved it when he was tired and sleeping while he was facing me. He didn't complain until it was time for him to breast feed. It also helped to keep my hands free and could shop. We love this carrier and have no regrets paying that big amount for it. All in all we love this carrier .......the material, the support that it gave me and for my son. I would recommend this carrier to friends and anyone.
