If zero stars was an option......... December 3, 2007 A. Keen If zero stars was an option, I would go with that!! Definitely spend the extra $10-$20 and get the more expensive version. This is a total waste of money if you are purchasing this product to protect your little one from shopping cart germs!! The velcro strapping is a poor design, so the parts of the cart that DO get covered... don't stay that way long b/c the velcro comes loose. And what is the point if the sides are not covered?? My baby ended up chewing on the side of the cart before I noticed her doing it, and I decided right then and there that this piece of junk is going in the trash! She can remain in her carrier until the big brown truck delivers the better model I just ordered!! It's clumbsy and hard to use....... all around a BOMB! Well....... one nice thing I can say..... cute design...... colorful.... cute toys I guess, although my 9 month old was bored with them fairly quickly. If you're just wanting to entertain your baby while shopping, I guess this might be ok.
I agree October 26, 2007 H. Mathews (Lawrenceville, New Jersey United States) I agree with the others; this thing is such a hassle and doesn't even do anything. Get something else.
Not for big babies June 23, 2007 Baylor mom (San Diego, CA) This is a really cute product, but not practical at all. I have had 3 big boys (ages 4 to 6 mo.) and none could sit in this without pulling the velcro off. Not secure and doesn't cover all surfaces. Very disappointing for such a cute cover.
No good... May 11, 2007 S. Eary (Florida) This thing was awful. I bought it and planned to shop that day. It kept sliding off and it does not cover the sides of the cart. I saw another Mom shopping and she had the one with the elastic. She had also tried this one ONCE and then returned it. I am returning this today!
Works fantastic for us! March 10, 2007 Happy Mom of 3 (Chesapeake, VA) I'm not quite sure what these other Moms are talking about, but I think it's fantastic. I always park near a shopping cart area to begin with and I just grab one and put it in there but even if I don't, I put my son on my hip and place it in the cart and strap in the velcro and I'm good to go. I shop at Walmart and I haven't found a cart yet that it doesn't fit into. I love it and so does my son! It's bright and colorful and the toys don't pull off unless you rip at it, so I'm not sure what happened with the other parent. Anyway, and he's 6 months old, sits up in it nicely and I love the fact that it as a nice pillow behind him to help him fit in the cart better and is comfy for him. I think it's cute! I mean, you're in the store pushing your child around. I don't know what people expect as far as durability goes. I mean for the hour or two a week I'm at Walmart or Target, it holds up great! I've already washed it several times and still looks brand new and it's cute and fun! I think it's worth the $20. Just my opinion.
