4 out of 5 stars Nice carrier   October 2, 2007
Love to read (United States)
This is a nice carrier. Baby feels really comfortable in it and falls asleep. We noticed that when we take her for a walk in it she sleeps better that night. You need two people to get her in it- that's the only downside. But once she's in it, she's super comfy!

4 out of 5 stars Good buy but try it on before you commit yourself   April 7, 2006

This is the 2nd Infantino Cozy Rider I have bought. The first one disappeared in our move last year. I used my first one with my son who is now 20 months old. I started using it when he was about 2 weeks old. I also had a baby sling but he didn't seem to care for the reclining position so I retired it to the closet and used this instead. It fit me well but I'm just under 5' tall. I could get my son in and out of it once I got the hang of it. Make sure that you adjust the straps around yourself snugly and be sure to follow the instructions it gives you on the placement of the support in the back. It really has to be between your shoulder blades in order to be comfortable.

I read some of the other reviews that were negative and I wonder if the people tried on the carrier before committing to purchase it. I have a Snugli carrier also but I did not care for the way it fit me or the way I had to get my baby in and out. It's since been retired.

Keep in mind that at some point you'll need to either graduate your baby to a backpack carrier or to a stroller because he/she will be too heavy and awkward to carry in this front carrier. I now carry my son in a backpack carrier since he's quite heavy.

I just purchased a new Infantino Cozy Rider for our new baby due in May. That's how happy I was with the first one's performance. It is a good buy for the money, just make sure it fits your body and practice adjusting the straps, etc. before putting your baby in it.

3 out of 5 stars Ok for the money   February 4, 2005

If you don't plan on a ton of use this is a great carrier. I initially bought this carrier and than bought the Infantino instead because it caused less strain on my back.

I love the price and if you're going to use it to do the occasional load of laundry or dishes than it's awesome. If you're going to be wearing it to a baseball game, shopping or anything else that would last for an extended period I'd upgrade to the Infantino or the Bjorn.

2 out of 5 stars Hard to use if you have a large baby   February 4, 2005
J. Cagley (Fullerton, CA)
I liked the idea of using an infant carrier to have my hands free while working around the house. Unfortunately, this just didn't work out for me and my daughter. She was almost twenty inches and nine pounds at birth, so by the time she was a couple of weeks old and I was ready to try out the carrier, it was incredibly awkward getting her into the thing. I'm not particularly tall and with my daughter being a big baby, I had to have my husband help me. By the time we got her in place, she was so irritated by the process, she wanted no part of it.
She also didn't like facing in toward me and not being able to see. By the time, she was old enough to face outward, she was too big for me to comfortably use the carrier. This is the only carrier I tried, so I don't know if this is a problem with all carriers, but in this case, I found it to be more trouble than it was worth.

3 out of 5 stars prefered a snugli   January 13, 2005

got this product and a snugli as a gift..go for the snugli, its much more comfy..it cost a bit more but its worth it. the cozy rider carrier was very easy to place on but was the comfy with the baby's weight. shoulders ached after a few minutes..plus it wasn't roomy where the legs goes in..i had to struggle with my baby all the time..she hated it. price is cheap but not worth it.
