Great carrier! November 29, 2008 franchie (USA) love this carrier. Great back and shoulder support for parents and it lets baby be forward facing.
No way October 8, 2008 su My baby hates this carrier! He also hated the sling too so I thought that it was just him, but then we borrowed a bjorn and he loved it. I tried this one again- several times and always screams until I take him out. Also, my husband says it's uncomfortable (he is 6'2/medium build). No different than bjorn for me for comfort. Not worth the price for sure!!! Would stick with tried and true bjorn and get a cute cover.
Very nice carrier September 29, 2008 bayliss (upstate ny) Pros: Very high quality materials. Nice fit, I felt very comfortable that my baby was secure. Because it has the waist belt, it doesn't hurt my back. My son LOVES it, esp. facing outwards. Cons: Did not fit my husband (who wears a 3x... I wasn't really expecting it to, but as an fyi to others). It does seem to come up fairly high on the baby... facing outwards, I either have to tuck it under my baby's chin, or let him gnaw on it. Overall: would recommend. very nice.
Looks uncomfortable for baby September 21, 2008 Anjali Lu (SF) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased the belle to replace my original baby bjorn that was starting to hurt my back. I read reviews that the baby bjorn active was not much of an improvement for the price, so I got this instead because reviews elsewhere spoke so highly of it. I was very disappointed. Although it definitely felt a million times better on my back and caused me no pain, it seemed so uncomfortable for my 3.5 month old baby when facing outward. She is only 13 lbs but it was too tight against her poor little arms, causing red marks. She also couldn't move her arms around freely (which she loves) like she can in the bjorn. And, the front goes up too high, either covering her chin or pressing into her neck. If I loosen the belle, it doesn't seem secure. These are just my observations, my baby seems content in it, because she loves being in any carrier, but she smiles more in her bjorn. Might work if you carry your baby facing you.
Love it! August 26, 2008 Mamacita (Vermont) I have had this carrier for about a month and it has been great. For the most part my hips seem to support most of the weight, which helps in alleviating those backaches. I can usually take a nice long neighborhood walk with it just fine and I am small (5'2") and my baby is about 16 lbs. My little guy loves it too. He actually gets excited when he see me put it on! I have only used it as a frontways carrier because he doesn't look to only look at mom! It is very easy to put on and to take him out once he has fallen asleep in it. The mesh is nice in the front and dries quickly, which is great for my little drooling teether. I highly recommend this carrier.
