Amazon.com Simply put, the BabyBjörn infant carrier is the leader of the pack(s!). Those parents who have used and loved the original BabyBjörn might be skeptical to hear that the Active Carrier style is even better. But it's true! It all boils down to even more support for baby and parent. Simply put, the BabyBjörn infant carrier is the leader of the pack!
| A sliding lumbar support adjusts and conforms to your torso. (This is an element that is easy to overlook on either the original or the Active Carrierdon't! It makes all the difference to get that adjustment just right. And re-check it every time you put it on.) The extra support relieves stress on shoulders and backdon't think just because you're big and strong you won't feel the strain of carrying a 25-, 15- or even 8-pound baby around. The wide, cushioned and contoured shoulder straps evenly distribute baby's weight, and breathable mesh liner keeps you (and baby) cool and comfortable. A size adjustment buckle allows the carrier to grow with baby, and the entire front piece is easily removed to lay down a sleeping beauty. A padded, adjustable head support lets younger infants face Mom or Dad, or folds down to allow an older baby to face forward. This carrier is truly adjustablefrom a tiny parent to a huge one. Bonus benefit: Mom can even nurse discreetly with baby in the Björn! Machine washable. For babies 8- to 26-pounds (and at least 21 inches). --Emilie Coulter

must have October 6, 2008 T. Tong (Texas) This is a must have for anyone with kids! The back support is wonderful and you can keep your little one in it for hours. They are super happy and contentent. I have three kids and have used this on all three! SO worth the money!
Great design, horrible color description June 15, 2008 James Gherdovich (Anchorage, AK) We bought the blue "Active" carrier. Once we opened it, it was by far more purple than blue. It definitely isn't the same color of the photos. That's the only reason for it's markdown in stars. The design of the actual BabyBjorn Baby Carrier Active is excellent. Definitely a five star design. We returned the "blue" one and shopped a bit more. We finally designed to get the "Synergy" design, which combines the ergonomic design of the "Active" and the breathability of the "Air" fabric. Hope this helps you guys...
Excellent for big and small parents and babes. September 26, 2007 J. Mason (Colorado, USA) Received this as a gift and when our Ruth grew to be too heavy for the hand-me-down bjorn we had, this hit the spot. I am 6'3" my wife is 5'4" and it adjusts easily to suit both of us. The back support is a life-saver and Ruth loves cruising in it. Definitely a must have in our house.
Excellent Back Support August 18, 2007 DaisyClaire (TX) This carrier is the best if you are looking for back support. It may be a little pricey, but it's well worth the money if you plan on using it often. Grocery shopping, walks to the park, around the house when baby needs to be with and you have chores....it's wonderful to have!
So far, so good August 9, 2007 R. Raj (Toronto, Canada) While new to parenthood, this item appears to be great so far. Our babe isn't heavy enough to fully assess the benefit of the additional support provided by the active carrier, but it seems to work quite well. In fact, when our little guy was a bit fussy, I put him in the Bjorn and went for a moderately paced walk on the treadmill and he really seemed to like it. Overall, I would recommend this item.
