Product Description Elmo's Sing & Teach Table features lots of fun learning activities that use music to teach Baby the basics. Each activity features Elmo & his friends -- Big Bird, Zoe, Cookie Monster and Ernie -- and each activity makes Elmo rock his head back and forth to the music, much to Baby's delight. Features:Buttons that teach shapes and colors A roller drum that teaches the alphabet Three light-up piano keys that teach animal names and sounds A removable cell phone that teaches numbers A Cookie Monster cup that teaches opening and closing Ernie, teaching about the parts of the face Requires 4 "AA" alkaline batteries (not included).
Editorial Review Get ready to learn shapes, colors, numbers, letters, face parts, animal sounds, and more with Elmo, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, and the rest of the Sesame Street gang! This Sing & Teach Table features tons of buttons and other interactive gadgets that prompt fun lessons for babies and toddlers, all in the wacky, weird voices of the Muppets. (Presumably, tots are familiar enough with the characters to understand all the squeals and growls.) The semi-circular shaped plastic table stands 12 inches high, not counting the waggling Elmo head that presides over the action. Children sit or stand at the table, lifting the Cookie Monster head to learn about "open" and "closed," spinning a drum for the alphabet song, or picking up a cell phone to hear The Count soliloquize about numbers. Bright, cheerful, and noisy--just what the toddler ordered. --Emilie Coulter

can be pushed over but lots of fun June 2, 2008 Amanda J (NY) My son has this and the leapfrog musical table with four legs. The four legged table is very stable, but this one can be pushed over and tipped. But my son loves it anyway. He especially loves the "cell phone" and will immediately take it out of the holder and carry it around. He thinks the elmo head shaking is funny and will grab elmo's head. This toy is at grandma's so he hasn't had the opportunity to wear it out yet.
8 Month Old Twins Love This Toy May 27, 2007 B. Fox My B/G twins are 8 months old. This was given to us as a gift. They started playing with it as soon as they could sit. This probably one of my favorites it is very educational. They love to see Elmo's head going back and forth. The table is very easy to tip over so I put it against the couch. Elmos is a little possessed he does go off in the middle of the night (I started turning him off) probably due to the fact my kids love to hold his head from moving. It is by far my kids favorite toy.
my daughter loves it January 19, 2007 Sean Stewart my first daughter loved this item in 2003 now its being past down to her sister.
Not what I expected October 15, 2006 B & J's mom (Sevierville, TN) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
A friend bought this table for my daughter when she was about 18 mo old. She is now 3 and I have a 8 1/2 mo old and we will be throwing this table in the trash. First of all, the cookie monster part does not work - it never has. Secondly, at odd times e.g. 3 o'clock in the morning, it will start making it's noises and singing songs for no reason. Finally, and most importantly, it falls over whenever my son leans on it. We were going to give it away because it was kind of annoying but because it is also dangerous we will now just throw it in the trash. Do not buy this toy!
Great toy, annoying music September 11, 2006 Jennyloupru (Ann Arbor, MI USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this toy for my son when he was 7 months old, and he loved it! It is still his favorite toy - he is 12 months old now. He used to crawl over to it and pull himself up. Now he is walking, and he will make a beeline for it whenever he sees it. He loves the little spot under Cookie Monster, he likes to hide things in there. And he also likes to press the buttons on the front and dance to the music. I have found it to be pretty sturdy, since all the chewing, pulling, banging, etc. haven't broken it yet. He is now starting to try to climb on top of it , which is a problem, because it can tip over. The other issue is that the sound is really annoying. Maybe it is that I hear it so much during the day, but the whole "Eyes! they help us see our friends" thing is echoing in my head while I try to sleep. There is an off switch for the sound, but then my son gets sad that Elmo isn't talking to him. Overall, great toy.
