Amazon.com Product Reviews
Fisher-Price has managed to combine the cozy comfort of their Papasan infant seats with the functionality of a cradle swing. Strap baby into the swing with the padded three point harness. The two reclining positions allow for playtime or naptime. When it's time for play, clip on the snack tray with bead bars and play eight different happy tunes while the star mobile bobs up and down and around. When it's time for rest, remove the snack tray and start the swinging. The soothing six-speed cradle swing will rock in the traditional fashion from left to right, or spin the cradle 90 degrees and it will rock front to back. Eight new lullabies will play and the cradle projects a spinning star-scape onto the canopy to have baby minutes from slumber. The nicest feature is that it allows for any iteration of motion, music, and mobile movement. It can be plugged in or run on four D batteries (it is recommended using AC power). The seat pad is removable and machine-washable, and the recommended age is birth and up with a maximum of 25 pounds. --Scott Teal

Great Product October 11, 2008 Elizabeth Searcy (Minnesota) Great product. I love that I Won't need batteries. As a daycare provider, this is a great option and a very sturdy product.
A Must Must MUST Have! October 10, 2008 Dana Ruggerio (Sheppard Afb USA) I honestly don't know how I would have survived the first few months without this fantastic swing. My daughter was fairly small and had a lot of trouble falling asleep in her cradle or anywhere other than mine or my husband's arms. We swaddled her and did everything we could to soothe her, but unless she was being held, she would not fall asleep. Needless to say, it was rough. I was recovering from severe pre-eclampsia and an emergency c-section, and my husband wasn't able to take much time off of work. We bought this swing when she was about a month old and it quickly became her favorite possession. We would set the rain forest bird sound and the toy motion for about 10 minutes, and usually within the first 45-60 seconds she was out cold. Even now at six months she loves to be in there, "talking" to the mirror and squealing at the little toy animals as they passed overhead. Sometimes I will just put her in the more upright position and she will play with the tray toys and be quite content while I vacuum the rugs or get a couple dishes done. This is something I am so happy to have gotten for my little one, and I plan on using it for future children! I highly recommend this for anyone with a fussy or colicky baby especially.
A must buy!! October 6, 2008 A Happy South Jersey Mom (South Jersey) This item is a life saver!! I wish I had purchased this item sooner!! I purchased this item on sale. However, if amazon.com contacted me and told me I owed an additional $200 for it, I would pay it -- it's that good. My baby loves this swing. He loves to stare at the mobile and is soothed by the back and forth motion. A must buy!!
Starlight Cradle Swing is GREAT for young babies October 5, 2008 Gadget Girl As I write this our baby is 3 1/2 months old. She started having irregular sleep patterns about a month ago and my friend, whose baby is a month older than ours, said the swing was worth every penny for the 2-hour naps her baby has in the morning and afternoons. She was right - this swing is GREAT for when your baby is tired, but having trouble falling asleep (she'll conk out or at least stop fussing within 5 minutes of being strapped in), or for when the baby is awake but you need to get something done and want to occupy her with the mobile (or place the swing near a ceiling fan - babies LOVE ceiling fans!). If she's fussy swinging side-to-side, I just switch the setting to swing front-to-back and she's happy again (or vice versa). I picked the starlight version because I liked the purple/cream color scheme & the cute princess-like netting, and the "star light" show with the mobile is cool (although since the netting only goes around the back, the baby has to look to her side to see the stars on the netting. If you face the swing toward a wall, they will show up on the wall as well), but mostly because this version has an adapter and can be plugged in. We haven't used batteries once since we got the swing. We just unplug it and move it to wherever we need it in the house and plug it back in. Apparently, these swings eat through the batteries, so the AC adapter option is a cost saver. Not all of the versions have an adapter option, so make sure the one you order has it if that's important to you! We also bought a vibrating baby/toddler rocker, but this swing has been the most effective method for keeping baby happy and helping her fall asleep. We highly recommend it - it's got a short life span since baby will outgrow it in a matter of months, but it really is worth every penny if you can afford it.
Baby Swing October 3, 2008 Carolyn Duhs (Ojai, Ca.) We love our swing, many family members have requested an adult size be available. Our daughter loved it when she was little & now we are expecting to have another baby enjoy it. Still in great shape, original padding still intact and all moving parts still work great.
