Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The Butterfly Papasan Cradle Swing is the next generation of the Nature's Touch Papasan Cradle swing. Not only can baby swing front to back like a traditional swing, but side to side like a cradle. The cozy nest-like seat comfortably cradles your baby in soft, multi-textured materials. There is also a mobile overhead with three plush stars that float up and down and rotate, and a dome overhead projects an amusing starlight show above baby onto the canopy that surrounds the seat.

The swing has two music modes and two sound effects. There are 16 songs total: eight daytime songs, eight soothing nighttime songs and two long play sounds. Parents can customize baby's swinging experience by choosing motion only, music only, mobile only, or any other combination. Six soothing speeds work in both swing and cradle mode, and an engaging bead bar on the feeding tray keeps infants intrigued. A three-point restraint keeps baby secure. Frame easily folds for storage. Weight capacity is 25 pounds. Requires 4 "D" batteries, not included. Measures 36" x 30" x 40".

Amazon.com Product Description
Perfect for fussy infants, the Butterfly Garden Papasan Cradle Swing features two ways to swing--front to back like a traditional swing and side to side like a cradle. Pretty in pink, this exquisite chair keeps baby comfortable with plush fabric and a nest-like seat. Three plush butterflies float above her head with its mobile. And there is more butterfly magic with a beautiful butterfly light show that can be projected on the canopy. A flower bead bar on the feeding tray adds a nice touch.

5 out of 5 stars Like baby crack...   November 23, 2008
M (Burbank, CA)
We recently ordered this swing and it has been the best baby item we've purchased. Our baby absolutely loves sleeping in it, hanging out in it, and it gives his parents a break. It not only helps lull him to sleep, it also entertains him for hours on end. We were a bit skeptical about the 4 D batteries but the first set have lasted over three weeks and we use the swing every day.

If you need to buy one baby item, we would highly recommend this swing.

5 out of 5 stars Armsaver...   November 23, 2008

This swing is not only adorable but snuggles my little one and rocks her, keeping her asleep after she finishes nursing so I can get a few things done. The set up was simple and I have never used batteries...the plug in feature is wonderful!!! She likes to sit and swing with it in the upright position and toybar when she is awake. I can also put her in the recline position and buckle her in. She falls right back to sleep after I get it turned on. She loves watching the butterflies (so do I) and at night they are so relaxing, but not so bright to interupt tv viewing. Music choices aren't great, but not bad and more often than not I turn off the sound and we play our own music in the evenings. I recommend this to anyone with a new little babe. This is our fourth child, each had a different swing and this is by far the best.

5 out of 5 stars works for my baby   November 23, 2008
MiMi (chandler, az)
My little one month old is very fussy and not to mention hates every other swing or bouncer we've ever put her in. This gives me some relief when she's willing to be put in it, which makes it a 5-star for me. :)

4 out of 5 stars Great for pacifying baby   November 18, 2008
Cali's Mom
I bought this swing after a particularly trying day with my 5 week old, willing to try anything that may give me a moments rest. The swing has turned out to be great. While not a 'magic pill' for fussiness, the swing keeps my now 2 month old entertained and often lulls him to sleep. He loves the sounds and the motion around the mirror and we like that is swings side to side as well as front to back. I wish it plugged into the wall so we could save on batteries, but other than that....this is a great swing.

2 out of 5 stars Great swing.... until it stopped working forever....   November 14, 2008

A friend gave me this swing, and it worked fine until today. The swing just stopped swinging. Everything else works fine, and I've recharged the batteries completely, so I know it's not that. The mobile still spins, and all the music still plays perfectly, it just doesn't swing.... I even opened it up to see if something was loose, but after doing some research online I've noticed people are buying replacement parts for $53, which isn't worth it for me to fix... I'm guessing this swing worked for about 6 months total, so if you're planning on using it for multiple children, or buying used, don't waste your time with this one!!
