We *LOVE* "Pirates Dice"! This is one of the most fun games we have ever played and the most requested when we have game night!
From the Pirates of the Caribbean movie, the replica dice cups are well made and look very cool. The black dice are 6 sided and have a skull (wild) where the 1 should be.
The game is a variation of Liars Poker (with dice) and is fairly easy to learn. We have added some "house rules" to keep the game moving, but it is truely very fun just as it is. We have bought a second set so we can have additional players and play it at parties and family gatherings.
One of the best house rules is that everyone has to "talk like a pirate" when it is their turn.
So, Arrrggghhhh, "This here game be recommended for ye land lubers"

The game itself is a lot of fun. But the cups and everything inside the box smelled really bad. It smelled like oil, solvent... just some stinky oil product. I didn't see it mentioned in other reviews but then I didn't read them all. I ended up throwing away the cups but keeping the dice. But you can use any regular dice for liars dice, and print the directions for the net.
It all depends if you have a sensitive nose. I could of been patient and left them in the sun to see if it got better. But it was so strong and we were on a trip so they ended up in the garbage to keep me from getting sick in the car smelling it.

Very fun. Good for players age 6 to 99 (must be able to count to 6).
You can buy 2 sets if you want to host up to 8 players. Most fun for 3 to 5 players. Only bad part is it teaches kids to lie (the object of the game).

The Pirates of the Caribbean Dice Game is a perfect keepsake of the film(s). You can relive the action and adventure over many times. The stakes have never been higher. Bit that's the Pirates way! This is great fun and a colorful game for the entire family. Yo Ho!
