Very cute, not the best December 29, 2008 Elissa Strell (New Jersey) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My husband and I fell in love with the regular Dwell Studio line, but they were just so overpriced that we decided against it. We went instead with this pattern created for Target, which was much more affordable and we now love. However, like all baby linens and such, I washed it as soon as we got it home and everything fared rather well except for the comforter. The reds started bleeding into the white of the background, making it look like the blanket has been washed many many times. That said, the pattern is really cute and all of the accessories are great (and cheap to boot!) The bumper is a bit of a disappointment, but that's mainly because our crib does not have slats all the way around - the headboard and footboard are solid, so the ties on the ends can't be tied, which makes the bumper not lay snug and flat against the walls of the crib. They say this can be problematic for a baby, if it bunches up, so my advice is to pass on the bumper unless you have a suitable crib to keep all of the edges tied and the bumper snug against the walls. But, all in all, we love the colors, we love the print and we loved the price!!!
Love it! August 24, 2008 Maria E. Ahues (Miami, FL, USA) I just got this from my registry and I absolutely LOVE every piece of it. The colors are great, it's good for a boy or a girl. I was looking for something with a modern design, not with puppies or bears or any of that stuff I don't like. The price is unbeatable, even though price was not the reason why I chose it. I didn't care if I had to spend $300 on one I liked but I just didn't like any set until I found this one. There is also one a lot like this one from Skip Hop that was over $300. I think the set is great and I would recommend it to anyone that wants to have a Mod room for their baby.
I really like this set July 17, 2008 Rachel (Gainesville, FL) I really like this set by Target. I received all the pieces I registered for, and found them to be comparable to other Target baby items. Since the sex of our baby is still a mystery, I think that this color scheme is perfect. We're also not into a bunch of foo-fooey baby pastels, so the line is great. All the blankets and sheets from the Circles line were very soft, even before we washed them. Some pieces were a little pricy, but they match all the in-store bargains, like additional white sheets and green or blue blankets, so new moms can easily add to the baby's room.
Get what you pay for... February 19, 2008 Ahh! (Darting about) 3 out of 10 found this review helpful
Yes, it's inexpensive. And, babies don't have the words to complain about low quality or too-trendy design. Noboday keeps and re-uses baby items anyway; it seems as tho' in this Disposable World we use things for a year and then toss into the junk heap. So, maybe you ought to buy Dwell Baby from Target... But, I give it a one-star. A co-worker had listed a bunch of DwellBaby things on her registry and before her shower, I was asked buy a group of co-workers to order presents on behalf of [our company]. I selected a number of items, including several Dwell pieces (such as this Circles Crib Set). When they arrived, I was too embarrassed to give them to her and they were returned immediately. Instead, our co-worker received a number of other requests that were on her list, such as some Kate Spade Baby and items instead and a few beautiful vintage pieces she had asked for, too. Why no Dwell Baby? The quality was simply dreadful. Sandpapery and poorly constructed, I know this crib set costs less than $80 but it wasn't even worth half of that. And the designs are trying too hard to be "cool..." but for "the masses." Now, I definitely consider myself one of the masses, so this is no slam against we the people. But, come on! It's like when designers used to give plus-size women moo-moos to wear, thinking that they should just be greatful that they had anything at all. Just because something doesn't have hearts and boys and flowers, doesn't mean it's modern! The shapes (hello, asian-inspired branch... so popular in 2000-2005!) and colours might have been trendy a few years ago but now look tired. That's one of the problems with trendy: you have to use them WHEN THEY'RE TRENDY, or then they suddenly look terribly dated and tired, just like this whole line. So, I guess if you just want something cheap and don't care a. where it was made b. if the design looks as tho' it's trying to be "of the moment..." but the moment has long passed c. that threads are pulling and it looks as tho' it will fall apart after 3 washes and the fabric is scratchy, then by all mean, go ahead. Otherwise, I recommend that you look elsewhere.
