Indeed a heavy travel system November 16, 2008 Hari (Westchester, NY USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Based on the reviews here, I ordered it with Amazon and received it within couple of days, very easy to assemble and use. Excellent service as usual by amazon. Using it for almost 3 months now, I found more cons than pros Pros: => Solid construction. Cons: => Slightly heavier than the usual Graco and hence wife says its difficult to handle by herself. => Although it says... it can be opened/closed in one hand doesn't seem that easy. => The child seat material is synthetic plastic like, which gets very hot in summer & very cold in winter.. meaning you cannot leave the child seat in car, cloth would've been nice. => Child seat is also larger than usual ones, which seem to require lot more room when placed in my minivan 2nd row. => Because of the design/angles the newborn almost ends up sitting up right, makes it highly inconvenient for them and defeating the purpose. A slight inclination or adjustment would've really helped here. => The basket beneath the seat is also smaller compared to other such systems out there. So, my suggestion is, please go out and try this and other brands at a local store and see what best fits your needs.
Decent Travel System for the Price November 12, 2008 K. Benson 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was under the impression that this was a jogger; it isn't. The car seat sits too upright for a newborn. My baby ends up sliding down in it, and the angle of the car seat is too harsh, so that my child's neck is not supported and rolls forward. Someone must sit in the backseat next to the car seat at all times to support her neck. Fortunately, my mother-in-law came across some really bulky strap covers at Babies R Us and purchased those, so we are able to wedge them in on either side of the baby, so she does slump forward. The travel system also has no "shock absorbency," and your child will more than bump, bump, bump all the way down any surface that falls short of paved perfection. Also, if you live in a hilly or mountainous area and plan on walking the baby in the stroller up any incline, your baby will probably also fall a bit forward in the seat, as mine does when I walk with her up a hill in this stroller. I had to take a break on the way up (it wasn't that steep, either) due to her head rolling forward due to no support of the stroller as well as her wailing because of the constant bumps (she virtually never cries at any other time). However, it looks somewhat cute and is convenient in terms of the one-click disengage function. It also has a considerable amount of storage space, which is nice, and it is supposed to last from the newborn stage through childhood, which is nice, but I cannot attest to whether it holds up to this or not, as my child is still a newborn. I also like all of the cup storage space on the stroller.
Happy... The car seat fits in my convertible car!!!! October 11, 2008 Majid (TX, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was very worried when I placed this order, * Well the car seat fit in my old convertible car? Will the stroller fit in the back of my car? * Heavy or light? My wife will be using it most of the time. * Not a well known product name? do I risk it? I received the box a week ago, the product is packaged professionally, and it only took 2 days to arrive, the product looks great, and the car seat is equipped with everything you need. Assembly of the stroller didn't take much, 15-20 minutes max. Since this is my first child, the car seat was a bit of a challenge, but at the end it was installed properly despite that my small back seat was the challenging part. The only drawback, which was mentioned before in one of the reviews, the picture shows a silver-black color, but in reality it is baby blue-black. Other than that I am very satisfied with this product, and would highly recommend it to others.
My inititial reaction October 3, 2008 K. Littlejohn 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We received this stroller set today and we LOVE the look of it. It's very sporty looking and looks more expensive than it was. I really can't say enough about the good looks of this stroller, it should stand out in a crowd. The wheels are nice and big and there is even "soft suspension" in the front which makes it very smooth rolling. It took my husband about 30 minutes to put everything together and then maybe 10 to 15 minutes to figure out how everything works. It folds together really easily and everything seems very smooth to operate. Our baby is due in 3 months and I'll write annother review after putting it into practical use but so far I'd highly recommend it.
LOVE IT October 3, 2008 Mary E. Hackworth (Columbus, OH) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just got this system yesterday and I love it! This system is top notch for saftey: The dual front wheel makes it sturdy, hard to tip; extreemly secure locking system for baby carrier; the blue fabric is actually reflective fabric, so it is silverish-blue but shines in car lights; The brakes are not resistant type or cheap they are more like gear brakes that fit into the tooth of the wheel mechanism; You can lock the front wheel strait for jogging; they system is well balanced even with stuff in the basket/bar; can be manuvered and operated with only one hand; Very light weight yet not at all cheap; the grips and padding is soft; the harnesses are secure 3 point and fully adjustible with pads to prevent chaffing; the wheels are an extruded tough foam, which make for a smooth ride over various terrain. There are more bells and whisles than what I expected, it has a holder for phone or ipod, a peek through window, a nice sized tray for mom and baby (I don't tend to have much more than a cup of coffee/bottle of water with me, so I don't need a TV tray on my stroller). The baby's tray has a deep cup holder and is concave for snacks and not as shallow as other trays - nice for cheerios on tray and not floor. The basket is perfect for me, but I don't need a shopping cart stroller. The only thing I didn't like was that the seat doesn't lay completely down, but most kids don't have trouble sleeping sitting up, so its not a huge concern. The angle of the seat and the amount it does recline doesn't necessarily need it to lay back completely. And I read alot about the color of the fabric - I am having a girl and the color is just fine...its not too boyish - I was more impressed with its reflective quality than concerned about it being blue, besides my husband loves it and doesn't mind pushing it around because it looks cool....much better than asking him to push around a pink stroller. All and all, I love it. I wanted something metro, lightweight, easy to manuver, compact, and most importantly SAFE - this system fits the bill.
