Product Description Swaddling Soothes Newborns and Reduces Symptoms of Colic by recreating the familiar, comforting snugness of the womb. Swaddling also reduces the incidence of the startle reflex, which can upset babies and increase the frequency of waking and crying. What a saver! September 18, 2008 Digitjc I absolutely love this product! My daughter is a very restless sleeper (9 weeks old) and tends to smack herself in the face, which of course wakes her up, unless her hands are swaddled down. I've tried blankets of all kinds, but she's always managed to get herself out of them. This product is great in that the microfleece is strong enough to keep her from unswaddling herself, while also being breathable. She sleeps so great in it that ever since I've used it (at about 6 weeks of age) she's slept through the night anywhere from 5 - 7 hours without waking me up for milk. I highly recommend this product!
Great product except in microfleece April 15, 2008 A. Donnelly (WA USA) I LOVE this product, except in microfleece. It is too warm and our pediatrician feels it is dangerous because it may increase the risk of SIDS by overheating the baby. Buy this product in flannel or cotton instead.
nice and tight but a little too warm February 10, 2008 A. Lee (Los Angeles, CA) Great for colder climates. I live in LA, so it's actually a bit warm for baby most of the time. Unless you live by the beach, then it's the perfect swaddler. It's pretty secure so baby will not be able to get out of it easily. Would recommend this or maybe the cotton version.
get the cotton one February 10, 2008 Dainichia Sullwold (portland, or) this one is cuddly-soft but it is easy for his arms to escape b/c of stretchy material, and it is a bit too warm for most temps. the cotton gingham is much better!
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 January 2, 2008 Little Miss No Name (Wisconsin) Babies are used to being 'swaddled' in the womb so why wouldn't they want to be when they are born? And, you just can't swaddle the baby like the nurses do at the hospital with just a little blanket. This takes the brains out of everything with easy to place velcro. One thing I recommend is to by them new. I bought a few off of ebay used and the velcro needs to be sticky. They lose their stickiness over time. They are awesome!!!
