Amazon.com Product Reviews
The Basic Comfort contoured changing pad superbly marries comfort, utility, and value. Given the variance in price of changing pads, you will be pleased to have all the features and function of even the most expensive changing pad at a fraction of the cost. Baby Comfort's philosophy is creating win-win scenarios--by continuously searching for ways to improve quality while lowering prices.
| The changing pad is made of durable, comfort foam that feels both substantial and soft. The foam is covered by a quilted vinyl layer that is moisture and stain resistant--an obvious necessity in changing pads--but when put to the test, the contoured changing pad beaded moisture and wiped clean with a pass of a cloth. This makes cleaning and disinfecting a snap. | | Easily attach the Baby Comfort Ultra Plush changing pad cover. | The three-inch beveled sides keep baby in a comfortable and compliant position while changing a diaper. The security strap buckles over the torso to keep baby from rolling and affords peace of mind when turning to grab some wipes. The pad is standard-sized--it generally fits most changing tables, or it can be used on any counter or surface. For stationary use, the changing pad can be screwed to the wall, or take advantage of the non-slipping bottom for use on any surface. The no-skid bottom works exactly as advertised. The contoured changing pad is large enough to accommodate baby until she is a toddler (birth to 24 months). The standard sizing of the pad also means that most generic changing pad covers fit, or you can extend the life of this pad with the Baby Comfort ultra plush changing pad covers (not included). The Velboa fabric--you know, the soft, almost-fur like synthetic fabric that is machine-washable--of the Basic Comfort changing pad covers is also stain resistant, and the covers fit this changing pad like a glove. The Basic Comfort contoured changing pad is designed especially for baby, and parents couldn't be any happier. --Scott Teal

Excellent Changing Pad December 26, 2008 jakitcfw (Alexandria, Virginia United States) We had a hand-me-down changing pad to start with, and it was also contoured, but we decided to replace it after a few months. This pad is considerably better. I don't use a liner because that's just one more thing for me to wash, and this pad is all one piece, so there are no nooks and cranies for things to get trapped in. On our previous pad, the sides were velcroed on, I guess so you could make it flat if you wanted, and it was horrendous to clean. I like the contoured shape in general because it keeps my son (6.5 months and a wiggly little one) in place. He hardly even tries to roll on it. Of course, now that I've said that....
Good Product December 18, 2008 M. Busby (GA) This is a very nice quality changing pad. It is as nice as those that are twice the price. I bought mine when it was around 20.00 so this is a VERY good price at 15. and change!
rips up almost immediately December 17, 2008 lazy green mom I'm not remarkably picky about these things and we were happy to get this changing pad at such a great price with lots of colored liners to choose from. However, it rips up almost immediately. This may not seem like a big deal - it won't bother the baby if you have a liner on it. Then you realize every time the baby wets the mattress it is soaking into the foam core where you cannot clean it! Next thing you know you have a forever pee-soaked foam thing sitting on the dresser. Yuck. I hate to spend more money on a different one, but we're having our second baby and may have to upgrade.
A Short Life-Span December 16, 2008 whitewave I was surprised at the many favorable reviews of this product. As I was reading I realized that many of the other people noticed the same problems I had but didn't find them as troublesome as I did. The comfort of the pad is great. However, it does stain quite easily. It is easy to clean, but the stain remains. The main problem I had was that the material rips very easily. The pad ripped before my son turned 1. I would prefer a better made product that would make it through my son's infancy.
simple and effective October 25, 2008 comfortablynumb (Yucaipa, Ca) I bought this product because I did not like the one they had at Babies R Us, which received terrible reviews that it stripped the dresser after being placed on it for any amount of time. Needless to say I have not had that problem at all with this one. It is very soft and cushiony, and the Boppy covers fit it perfectly. I am very pleased with the product and the price!
