I bought two of the of the slightly larger light brown spunky a year ago and my son won't go to sleep without them. He liked them so much that I bought two of the blue ones for my newest arrival. This is the type of stuffed animal that your child will get attached to so you need at least two of them.
From a safety perspective, they are great. The eyes are thread and there are no small pieces to come off for your kid to choke on. The stitching is very durable. They go in the regular washing machine. Mine have been washed at least 2 dozen times each and still look great.
The only small con is that they need a second ride in the dryer.

My six month old baby boy LOVES his blue. He reaches for him and it immediately smoothes him. It's very soft, he loves to rub and "eat" his ears. I would highly recommend it.

My 2 yr old daughter absolutely adores this dog, she calls "Bubby." I don't know what it is - but she cannot sleep without him! I recommend this sweet little stuffed dog for any child!

Both of my sons (6 and *) have been fighting over who gets to sleep with Spunky. This is the softest stuffed animal and even after lots of washing, stays very soft. It is also easy to travel with because it is just the right size. This is a winner!

My little girl loves this dog so much. She is never without Pink "Bympy" Dog tucked under her arm and as a result we have had up to 5 in circulation at any one time. They undergo such loving abuse but aside from accidental loss have stood up to all manner of wear and tear....and come up beautifully in the wash.
