Nice stroller for newborn twins...but has issues January 23, 2008 I. Sanders (Newcomerstown, OH) I purchased this stroller in the spring of 2006 (after reading reviews on a bunch of other double strollers), and have used it probably at least a hundred times. I must have received a "good one", as I have never had an issue with any of the wheels falling off. Thank Goodness!! I chose this particular stroller because both front and back seats would secure an infant car seat, which was a necessity since I had twins. However, I have had a few problems with the stroller. First, I've had a few instances with not being able to fold the stroller down...almost left it in town (where we go to take walks) because of the frustration. I've since realized that it won't fold completely flat (which is necessary for it to fit in the back of my minivan) unless the front wheels are turned a certain direction...you have to lock the front wheels into this position before trying to fold down the stroller. Also, the front seat only reclines a little, so we deal with the "bobbing" head while the front passenger tries to nap sitting almost upright. I've had issues with the seat cover not staying up (it's only secured with small velcro squares) in the back seat. Once my son figured out that it came undone with little effort, he constantly pulled it down. The tray lid on the parent tray won't stay closed and the snap on the fold-up child tray (on the back of the front seat) ripped away from the fabric, leaving the tray hanging all the time. We did experience some squeaking with the wheels, but that was only a minor problem that was easily fixed with WD-40. My twins have used this stroller for almost 2 years (come April) and now I'm moving on to better things. I think that they'll enjoy a double jogging stroller(with a front swivel wheel) better, since they'll be able to see better and be able to be side-by-side. I spent about $200 on this CitiTour tandem stroller, but I feel as though I've gotten my money out of it. I actually love the tan and black print of the fabric...it looks expensive. I see that it's not in stock right now, maybe not again...probably because of all of the problems with the wheels. I would hope that the Evenflo people read these reviews and address these troubled areas to make a better double stroller that holds 2 infant car seats. I would expect more from Evenflo, seeing as how they are one of the leading manufacturers of baby products.
Nice looking, but I DON'T LIKE IT!!! October 9, 2007 MELLOW (Richburg, SC United States) I love the look of this stroller, but it is bulky, heavy and hard to fold and unfold, because of this I don't like using it. I've used it about 3 times in the last 7 months. The front seat does not recline very much, not good enough for a new born and if the child in the back seat kicks the front it will move the seat, it does not lock good into place. So, besides these things its an ok stroller. oh and when I recieved the stroller one of the front wheels was broken, called for replacement, friendly customer service but I had to fax them my recipt but they sent me 2 wheels, so no complaints will the service. I have recently bought the graco duorider, hopefully it will be before Halloween, cause I'm not looking forward to using this stroller. I wish I had never bought this. A waste of 160 bucks.
Not very pleased July 19, 2007 J. Tonsor (IN) I bought this stroller 1 year ago this week. If I had to do it all over again I would not have purchased this stroller. Two sets of wheels have broken within the first 4 months of use: a [...] and newborn. Now 1 year later the back seat is broken in so much that it sags and does not make for a comfortable ride for the backseater. I agree with a previous post about the front rider being able to lock the wheels, HUGE PAIN! Needed to be designed better. For the price, not worth it.
Poor customer service December 30, 2006 NeverPennyless (Wisconsin) 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
The stroller shipped with parts missing! Called today and they can't even ship the missing pieces until after the holiday! They have no system in store for express mail. I paid a lot for this stroller and I expect to be able to use it. Customer service wasn't the least bit apologetic. I'd love to say something wonderful about the stroller but it's going to be a week and a half before I get the chance to USE it!
Great product! Great customer service! September 23, 2006 A. Horrocks (Turnersville, NJ United States) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
I purchased this stroller in December '05. I currently use it for my 4 year old and 9 month old and we love it! When we first received it, one of the saddlebags for the rear seat was missing -- I contacted Evenflo. They could not send me a new bag for the other side, but were willing to replace the stroller for me. I decided against it since it wasn't a huge deal. The customer service rep contacted me two more times to make sure I didn't need any additional assistance. Up until this month, I've been using my Evenflo Discovery Car Seat in the rear seat. I went to use the rear seat without a car seat and I noticed that the snaps that attach the padding for the rear seat had ripped from the fabric and were permanently snapped into the frame of the stroller. I contacted Evenflo by email on Monday and by Thursday, received an email back. As of Friday, they are sending me a brand new stroller at no cost! The customer service rep called me today and was extremely helpful on the phone. The only thing I don't like about the stroller and my reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that my 4 year old can drag her feet in front of her, so I constantly tell her to pick up her feet. But that's more of a personal thing, rather than an issue with the stroller itself. Oh, and her feet can hit the levers on the 2 front wheels, so that the wheels won't turn. I would suggest to the manufacturer to make them pull up for straight rolling and push down for turning or make the levers smaller/lower so that the front rider couldn't hit them by accident. But other than that, we love it!!! We've never had any problems with wheels either -- just noticing others' complaints. Oh, and our stroller is the Silver Star print, not the Tattersall. But it's still the same frame.
