Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The Baby B'Air Flight Vest is the ONLY SAFETY SOLUTION for lap held children who fly. The patent pending design secures your child to your lap belt to protect your child against the unexpected dangers of turbulence and to keep your child safely on your lap during flight* while allowing freedom of movement to comfort, feed and cuddle your child. Over 90% of all injuries on commercial airlines occur during flight, yet children held in parents laps are unrestrained. The Baby B'Air Flight Vest has been tested to exceed FAA stress tests levels for aircraft seats, yet is comfortable and easy to wear allowing the child to be held, fed and changed while in the garment. Infant Size: fits 6 weeks - 6 months, with a neck opening for heads to 16 1/2 inches. Toddler Size: fits 6 months - 2 years, with neck opening for heads up to 19 1/2 inches. Child up to 40lbs. *The FAA requires children over 2 to have their own seat. *The Baby B'Air is not a car seat and cannot be used during takeoff, taxi, and landing. The Baby B'Air provides protection during flight when the majority (over 90%) of injuries occur and your child is most vulnerable.

Editorial Review
For parents who often take to the skies with a baby in their lap, this light, stowable item may offer extra peace of mind when worn during a flight. The soft cotton vest can be worn throughout a trip--many toddlers will think the bright red fabric and buckles a cool addition to their wardrobe. Three plastic buckles snap at sides and crotch, and the adult's seat belt passes through a nylon loop to secure child to parent. This harness would be a must-have accessory for the frequent-flying baby--if it were FAA approved for use during takeoff and landing. Currently it is not, a fact we felt the manufacturers should make much clearer than they do. During takeoff and landing, then, this simple vest/harness cannot (alas) replace the uncomfortable baby lap belts provided by the airlines, although it meets all FAA regulations for use during flight. --Richard Farr

4 out of 5 stars pleased!   September 11, 2008
S. Shehadeh (tx)
We bought this for our trip to Jordan and I found it usfull in more ways than just the intended use. First before I bought it I made sure that it would be allowed by the airlines to use, which AA and Royal Jordanian both accepted. Second we used it not just during flight for our 11 month old, but in the airports it was like a small leash in a way, she could run around and we could keep a hold of her. Third in Jordan we did not have a car seat...THIS IS NOT RECOMMENDED, AND NOT SUPPORTED TO DO SO BY THE PRODUCT....but I used it to strap onto my seat belt, I know call me a bad mom, but it was better than nothing. Our families car was not big enough to hold a car seat given the amount of people that were CONSTANTLY crammed in it and we could not afford to rent a car for the whole duration of our stay, so worse comes to worse...BUT I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING THIS IF A CAR SEAT CAN BE USED. Anyways, I am happy with the product. I did not like how she could not sleep comfortably with it on, that was the only down fall...she seemed to fight it the whole night flight.

4 out of 5 stars Great for Peace of Mind   September 2, 2008
S. K. Vennard (Newark, DE)
This vest arrived very promptly and I used it for my one year old son on our trip from Philadelphia to Salt Lake City. It fit him just fine (he weighs 22 lbs) and it will probably fit him next year too. I was worried about him being over-heated, but with a tee shirt under it, he was ok. The baby was not secured like he would be in a real seat belt, and it was almost silly to sit there with him attached to my seat belt by one little strap. But I kept telling myself that if anything bad happened, like the plan went into free fall or something, he would not go flying through the cabin because he was strapped to me. SO this is not a good substitute for a carseat or seat belt, but it was great for peace of mind.

5 out of 5 stars Great product !   July 21, 2008
K.A. (Orange County, CA)
I wanted something that I could feel safe with my child on the plane. She was going to be a lap baby on the flight. I was worried about turbulance and did not want her to go flying out of my lap. This product worked very well. Luckily we did not have that kind of turbulance on our flight but I felt secure that if we did my baby would be safe. The vest is very well constructed. I was initialy impressed with the way it is made. It is very soft. It did not bother my child to have it on at all. It also worked well as a short leash to keep my baby safe while standing in the airport. I would recomend this produt to any mom.

3 out of 5 stars Cute little flight vest   June 19, 2008

Ok.. so I bought this flight vest in hope that it would help my 18 month old stay still and have hand-free on the flight to asia. We used it only one time and he didn't like it. As it says, this is toddler size but wouldnt recommend it for toddler over 29lbs, it was kinda tight and made my son felt uncomfortable. I would say it's good for infant that don't sit very well that need your support most of the time, or if your child is not very active, otherwise it wouldn't help very much!
