Keep an eye on your baby from up to 350 feet away. View larger. | Quick and Easy Operation The two-channel Quiet Sounds installs in just minutes without any tools, so you can enjoy the benefits of wireless video and audio monitoring right away. Compact and lightweight, the monitor can then be attached to the included belt clip or simply placed on any flat surface (a stand is included). You can also use the included mounting hardware and mount it to a wall. Once installed, the 900MHz camera transmits clear pictures and sounds to the video monitor with ranges up to 350 feet (clear line of sight) and 100 feet (obstructed). And it's a snap to add up to two more cameras (sold separately) if you wish to simultaneously monitor more rooms, an option that's especially convenient as your family grows. Crystal Clear Reception This handheld monitor utilizes the latest FM band technology to provide crystal clear reception. It also has a large, 2.5-inch, high resolution, full-color LCD display and LED sound lights. Most importantly, this monitoring solution avoids interference caused by other 2.4 GHz devices commonly found in the home--like 2.4GHz cordless phones and wireless 802.11 computer networks--so you won't have to worry about excessive static. Keep Track of Baby at Night One of the most helpful and unique features of the Quiet Sounds monitor is its night-vision capabilities, which allow parents to check up on their sleeping baby without disturbing his or her rest. Nine built-in infrared LEDs permit the camera to view clear images within a distance of up to six feet in total darkness. Another night-time option is to turn off the video button and choose the audio-only option. A super sensitive microphone built into the camera alerts sleeping parents that their baby is making noises, crying or moving around in his or her crib. Longlasting and Reliable This sleek plastic monitor comes with rechargeable batteries that lasts up to 10 hours. It also boasts a power-saver feature that times out after three minutes when running on the battery. For added convenience, external audio/video outputs provide connections to existing video recorder or home television, and you can even purchase headphone jacks for private monitoring. What's in the Box Video camera with transmitter, handheld monitor with receiver, two AC power adapters, rechargeable battery pack for monitor, wall-mount bracket and hardware for camera, belt clip and stand for monitor, and user's manual.

Good monitor - short battery life August 20, 2008 Bay Area Parent (Oakland - California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We are probably the opposite of a lot of parents with our use of the monitor. Some think the video is frivolous and all you need is the audio. Others find the audio monitors to be too sensitive. We were more to the latter. The microphone on the monitor is soooo sensitive that any sniffle, whimper or cry sounds 10 times worse than it is. Our house is small enough that we can hear our daughter cry without a monitor so we keep the volume turned off. Still the led lights give you an idea of how much noise is in the room, and we feel very reassured by the video. Being able to see her without going in and disturbing her more has been a great help in deciding when to give our daughter a chance to soothe herself and when we need to go in and help her calm down. Her body language tells as much about her needs as her cry. The monitor is decent. It isn't a great picture, especially in the dark. The color in the day is lousy, but we didn't need pretty pictures in this monitor. We wanted mobility. For this it has been good. One down side for us is the short battery life. The auto-off screen when the monitor is running on battery is a good feature, but the monitor still runs out of juice really quickly. We have had it 4 or 5 months, and it gets worse as time goes by. Still, it does the trick. Another downside is the mount. It isn't a very solid mount for the camera. So far, we haven't even hung it on the wall. We have it taped to a tripod away from our daughter's crib which makes it portable. All in all, we like the camera.
Love this monitor!! August 13, 2008 S. Dawson 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This monitor has been absolutely great! It works well day-to-day and was great when we went on vacation. It has made things much easier!
good quality but beware... August 10, 2008 I. Bandak (San Francisco, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great monitor, we bought it to monitor our first baby and the video/audio quality is excellent.. It even works with good reception between multi-floor house and even from outside the house. The only thing that I would say is pretty badly designed is the fact that if your next door neighbor has the same unit the signal from his unit would show up on your monitor and you'd be looking at his kids and vice-versa.. I think this is a bad design and security risk and should be corrected.
THIS is the monitor to get August 8, 2008 R. MICKS (Cedar Park, TX USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We first owned the big B&W monitor from Summer Infant, which crapped out just after the 1-yr warranty expired, and they wanted $50 to fix it. We ended up buying this one instead, as uneasy as we were about buying another Summer Infant product. Well, I only wish we hadn't cheaped-out and just bought this one first. You couldn't ask for anything more at this price. Reception is good over our entire 3400 sq. ft. house, sound captures whispers clearly, and the "snooze" button feature is great. We've been using ours for probably 4 years w/o fail. We did replace the rechargeable battery just recently since it stopped holding a charge for very long, but with all the use, I can't believe it even lasted this long. The replacement came quickly and reasonably priced directly from Summer Infant. They have completely redeemed themselves to me with the high quality of this product.
Love it July 26, 2008 Bella's mommy (Spring Hill, FL United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My grandmother bought this for my hubby and me as a shower gift. We have never had a single problem with picking up phone coversations like some monitors do. The microphone is really sensitive and the video image is very clear. Because my daughter is a preemie, she was hooked up to an apnea monitor for a few months after we brought her home. We wouldn't always here her apnea monitor if it went off in the middle of the night because her room is on the other side of the house. The Summer Infant Video monitor made it easy to hear and see her to make sure she was o.k. I would definitely recommend this product. It's worth every penny.
