We just got this gate. First, when I opened it, I immediately thought that it was bent because the gate didn't come close to the latch. I called the company and they tried to say that it was a UPS problem and said that they would send me a new one that would arrive in 3 business days. I was okay with that, except I would have preferred that they would have overnighted it. However, when we tried the gate, it wasn't actually bent. It straightened out once it was pressure mounted. The latch is a bit on the shaky side, but it is fine for our 9 month old as he will not fall down the stairs. Also...my 6 year old and 3 year old can get through which I am thankful for. I didn't want to have to go open for them each time. Seems to me that the company should have been able to tell me what I should do about what I thought was a faulty gate. I had ordered a banister protector from One STep Ahead and I don't need it all because this has such great pressure mounts. So....I might have given this a four star except that I was a little upset with Babyage for not knowing that it just needed to be installed in order for it to latch properly. Now...I have to call them back and tell them to cancel the reorder and return pick up. Kind of a pain.
