not what I ordered October 6, 2008 Stephen C. Rosenthal (Sanger, Tx. USA) I had ordered a different one, but the one I received worked out just as well so I kept it.
Safety 1st October 2, 2008 Tiff. M. (bronx ny) This gate is sturdy. My five year old would climb over it and it dosent fall. But the reason he climbs is because its hard for me to keep taking the latch in and out. Extremely hard. Other than that it keeps my 13 month old out of the kitchen. So thats reassuring.
a good cheap strong gate September 18, 2008 Crystal D. Gause-Hively (Fort Meade, MD USA) i have 2 of these and they are strudy, and they adjust to fit small and wide openings. And its so cheap too yet strong. I reccommend this to anyone who is low on cash but wants to keep their babies (or their pets) inside and safe.
Don't buy this product!! August 11, 2008 Emily's Mom I was happy to find a gate that was so adjustable. However, this gate has been a nightmare to use. In order to have the gate be tight enough in the doorway, the slot into which the locking handle fits ends up too far to the side for the locking handle to fit in it's slot. I had to lock it into position while it's free standing, then jam it into the doorway. I won't even give this gate to charity. It's too difficult to use, and dangerous if not installed tightly enough.
Great for Puppies!!! March 23, 2008 Knowledge Forest (Washington, DC United States) We wanted to confine our 2 puppies to a small area with 2 exits. We got two of these security gates and they worked perfectly. Pros: No hardware installation required. The pups could not move them at all. Found them for only $15.99 at a local Target store. Cons: The gate will mark up your walls a bit. You must lock it into place properly. Otherwise the lock can snap open and the gate will fall. It's a hassle if you need to move them often. We don't move them at all and just step over them. All in all, we like this gate because it's cheap and serves our purpose. If you need to open the gate or move it often, this is not the gate for your.
