Product Description North States Extra Wide Swing Gate Large openings are often difficult to close off. The North States Extra Wide Swing Gate offers parents an affordable choice for closing off a large area for either a child or a pet. The Extra Wide allows children and pets to be confined to an area where mom or dad will have total supervision. It extends up to an amazing 8.5 feet (103 in.) and stands at 27 inches high. However, unlike other North States gates it does not work with small areas at all. The smallest opening it can work with is 5 feet (57 in.). It is great for blocking off a porch or other wide areas. The gate can be removed with ease from its hardware mount when not in place. The North States Extra Wide Swing Gate can swing out of the way with ease when not locked in place. It is made of a durable, deluxe wood, perfect for any home decor.

Simple but good baby gate! July 27, 2008 E. Gargiulo (USA) Simple design baby gate that serves its purpose. I do recommend using more sturdy hooks with anchors for the wall if you plan to swing the gate open often or your little one shakes on the gate. Nice product that is lightweight and could easily be stained or painted if needed.
Decent value for a reasonable price June 20, 2008 Zim (St. Louis, MO USA) I spent a lot of time searching for a wide gate and was frustrated at the lack of quality options, so I decided to go with this gate as an inexpensive option. While not the most impressive or sturdy gate, this gate is decent quality for what you pay (I paid $48). It is very easy to install, but is a bit cumbersome to open and close. Overall, I am satisfied. I feel like I got what I paid for, no more and no less.
great item, just what I was looking for, super shipping, great April 19, 2008 Murial C. Pagliaroni Shipping out this items was great arrived in two days, items is exactly what I was looking for.
Broken gate within 1 week February 15, 2008 D. Austin (Coon Rapids, MN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This gate is a perfect size for our house. But once installed, two of the clasps broke off the two pieces of the gate. We cannot put it together and are using it with two separated pieces. We will have to find something to keep it safe and can be used reliably.
Wide opening gatr November 2, 2007 F. Wright (SO. Portland, ME.) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
NorthState's extra wide gate. I am a professional child proofer. This is the only gate I use when closing off wide openings. It is inexpensive. Easy to install. You can remove it from time to time. It is not intrusive. Over all a very workable and affordable solution..
