Editorial Review Protect your children (and pets) from squeezing through balcony and stairway railings with this durable, weather-resistant playard netting. Suitable for either indoor or outdoor use, this washable white mesh netting adjusts to fit most railings measuring up to 33 inches high and 10 feet long. For shorter railings, simply roll back the netting to fit the desired area, or for longer railings, connect two Railnets together with the provided hardware. Railnet is easily installed with eyes that screw directly into your railing or can be tied with 200-pound polycord that is secured through holes in the nylon binding. --Deb Oroszlan

Wonderful for temporary use. April 1, 2008 Chele S. (Knoxville, TN) I don't think I would choose this as a permanent guard but we have used it two years in a row for the balcony of our vacation condo (our group has 3 total children) and it works great. It doesn't take too long to tie up and we leave it up all week with no trouble. It's not very visible when used outside.
No more sleepless nights December 8, 2007 Eve (San Francisco Bay Area) My daughter recently moved into a house with a balcony on the second floor that overlooks the first floor. I worried that my toddler grandson would easily slip through the rails so I ordered this product. It was easy to install, looks OK and seems quite secure.
Over Priced September 25, 2007 Andrea P. Ray Why is this product priced so high by sellers on Amazon? They do not retail higher than $18.00. I got mine 50% off.
Holds up to multiple kids flawlessly September 19, 2007 K. Kostka (Southern WI, USA) This banister net is sturdy, easy to put in place, and indestructible. We had this in place around our upstairs railing thru our two kids, and sometimes they would be into it at the same time. Helps to keep kids from falling through and prevents the "toss stuff down through the bars game" that has delighted them at other people's homes. Unlike the clear plastic barriers, this one doesn't need constant washing to keep looking tidy.
Does the job July 12, 2007 Vickie Barrier (bremerton, wa usa) Tedious to put up but feel that it is very secure and no holes drilled into the woodwork.
