Product Description The ConfigureGate 3-Piece Set allows you to configure the gate yourself, to fit odd-shaped rooms and non-standard doorways. The three 24-inch interlocking pieces easily adjust in 10-degree increments to fit most any space. The walk-through gate swings in either direction and features a convenient one-hand release. Constructed of sturdy tubular steel with a white non-toxic coating. Measures 29.5 inches high.
Editorial Review This large, custom-designed gate lets babies and toddlers roam free in a large section of the home, while still protecting them from dangerous or unsupervised areas. The set comes with three interlocking sections, each one measuring 29 inches high and 24 inches long. The idea is to lock the sections together in a bendable configuration that fits an area of your home (additional sections are available). In order for the gate to be secure, it must be attached to wall-mount fixtures (included). Be prepared for about a half-hour of setup time. Keep in mind that this is not a gate that simply folds up accordion-style. It may be easier to keep the gate assembled than to constantly unlock the hinges and fold the sections together. Fortunately, it comes with an adult-access, walk-through gate, so it won't impede the traffic flow of grownups. For ages 6 to 36 months. Comes with a one-year limited warranty. --Hannah Reynolds

the best ever November 13, 2008 J. Elfant This is the first gate the actually accomodates our irregular stairway. It is adjustable and so versatile. It is sturdy enough that I haven't even mounted it to the walls. I absolutely recommend this gate. I wish I had known about it with my oldest daughter.
really happy with this gate November 10, 2008 ChoosyMom (New York) this gate makes my life so much easier than a traditional gate at the bottom of the stairs would have been. i did not want to struggle with opening a gate while i was on the bottom step going down, or struggle opening a gate with a baby in my arm or laundry etc when i was on the way up. its so much nicer to have a little 'landing' at the bottom of the stairs to readjust/compose myself before opening the baby gate (also a big help if you have dogs that tend to bum-rush you when you enter/exit a room). The wall mounting hardware is not fixed, so you can avoid floor mouldings, find studs in the wall, etc. This gate can be used in a linear configuration, C-Shape or S-Shape, depending on where you need to put it. more money, but worth it
Great for large expanses October 22, 2008 Amanda Dittlinger (Dallas, Texas) I bought this gate after reading all of the positive reviews. I have to agree, I really like it! It was easy to put together (despite not having instructions) and it feels very stable. Also, measure your space very carefully. I measured wrong and had to order an extra extension. In total, I have the main gate plus three 24" extensions.
Works Great! October 20, 2008 J. Realejo We use one of these at the top of our stairs, and one at the bottom. We have a wrought iron railing and this goes all the way around it. It is phenomenal.
Great for bottom of stairs October 15, 2008 Mommy Parker (Roseville, CA) We've been looking for a gate for the bottom of stairs. The first one we installed went straight across and attached at the stair rail on one side and the wall on the other a couple steps up. Unfortunately, there is no stud in the wall we could use. After 6 months or so, the gate came out of the wall and because of the molly screws, left a gaping hole. The Kidco Configure Gate is great because it rests on the floor. Having a gate on the floor seems safer than having the gate a couple steps up, especially when carrying a baby, laundry basket, etc. We bought a 24 inch extension to make the configuration work better for our situation. It seems secure - able to withstand our 3-yr-old now and hopefully the baby as she goes from crawling to standing to walking.
