Works well, pretty good product April 8, 2008 Greg C. Rogers (San Jose, CA) I have used the table edge guard for 5 weeks now and no problems with my 12 month old pulling it off from the table. The double stick tape is plenty strong and resists his efforts to tug and pull at it. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is that it is hard to align and cut (being thick foam) so the alignment of the long pieces with the corner pieces looks off and not pretty. Also because it is foam, it stretches and when laying it out by yourself, it is easy to not estimate enough length and leave a gap between the long pieces and a corner piece. Because once you lay down a very long straight piece, it is hard to pull it up off of the table edge, without ripping the double stick tape off and re align your piece. I guess that is due to my clumsiness, but overall a good product.
Easy installation, works perfectly March 25, 2008 J. Mattus I have used it on both a glass-topped table & wooden crib. It was easy to put on & has been very durable, despite the best efforts of my very active 1 year old! Very functional & economical.
Looks good on the furniture December 14, 2007 E. Tan I wasn't too sure how this will turn out aesthetically on the table, but now I am glad that the product managed to stick onto the table edges and looks good too. Now I worry less when my kids run around the table!
How does anyone survive without it? August 23, 2007 Reader #1 (DE, USA) I put this everywhere.... and I have witnessed MANY occasions where I say "Yeah!!! It worked!"
Do Not Buy! August 7, 2007 L. Beer (Decatur, GA United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
As many others have written this product is NOT safe for wood furniture. Whe we removed it it actually pulled the finish off of a brand new Crate and Barrell table we had. Using several different solvents, a nylon pot scraper, about two rolls of paper towels, and a LOT of elbow grease I was able to get the massive amount of remaining adhesive off without doing further damage. Although the company does include a short disclaimer about how they are not liable for damage to tables, elswhere in the packaging materials it clearly states that the product CAN be used on wood furniture. They even show the product on a wood table in their advertising! I can't state emphatically enough that this product WILL damage your table - only use it on wood furniture you don't care about.
