Really met our expectations! November 29, 2008 Kristen (New Jersey) Great product! It is not a fail safe to keep children in the yard, but a great reminder to not go any farther and to keep balls, bicycles, etc. in the driveway rather than on the road. Highly recommend.
Awful September 13, 2008 Toddler Parent We bought this to keep our 18 month old in the back yard, rather than running down the driveway into the street. Obviously, we were outside with her at all times, before and during our use of this product. We did not realize how flimsy it would be. By positioning it in such a way that she could not get around it, she simply went UNDER it and continued down the driveway. Then we had to run after her but the "gate" was much more of a barrier for us than for her, since we couldn't really get under it as quickly as she. Used it for about 5 minutes before she figured out how to escape, and we realized that it was far more dangerous to have it up (which only slowed US down running after her towards the street) than to have it down and be able to go after her quickly if necessary. We never used it again. Terrible product.
Great Product August 14, 2008 Muckleloon (FL United States) Whilst the net is good enough to stop a ball from rolling into the street, it certainly wouldn't stop a determined kid (nor, I suspect, is it designed to). The main benefit I have seen is physiological and my kids certainly recognize the net as a boundary that they do not go beyond. From a practical view, the net is easy to install, open, close and store. Well recommended.
Exactly What I thought it was July 21, 2008 Susie Q (Massachusetts) It was exactly what I thought it would be. We were able to install it in just minutes, and it keeps thing from rolling into our busy street. Why not 5*'s well, it is on the expensive side.
common sense February 7, 2008 Mom2four (Havenot, NC) 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
This isn't a babysitter. Obviously, a child could simply walk around the thing. It's merely a deterent - or a visual reminder to stay out of the street. Anyone expecting it to actually "protect" or prevent children from going in the street should probably hire someone with a brain to care for the child.
