Product Description Summer Infant Play Safe Play Yard The Summer Infant Play Safe Play Yard is very similar to baby gates. It is a free standing play area which keeps childs in an enclosed area, but is wide enough to provide space to play. Like other baby safety gates which are free standing it provides a wide area of space for child to play in. The play yard is easy to transport as well with a carry handle for easy portability. The Summer Infnat Play Safe Play Yard features six 32 in. wide panels so child doesn't fall out.
Amazon.com Product Reviews
The Summer Infant Secure Surround gate is a convenient way to carve out a playing space inside and outside of the house. The 30-inch tall and 32-inch wide durable plastic panels provide 18.5 square feet of play space. Remove two panels (from six to four) to use as a smaller play area or to partition "off limits" objects around the house. It is easy to assemble, and once set up, the surround gate was sturdy and sound, and the walk-through gate swings both ways for quick access. Fold up the panels and use the handle to carry and transport, just make sure you have a little muscle. --Scott Teal

Very useful product! December 2, 2008 L. Blosser (Morgantown, WV) I purchased this play yard so that I could put my 9 month old in it while I was in the next room doing chores. It is large enough to put many toys in to keep him busy. It is secure as well. We have also used the gate to block off our dining room where our dog is. Our son stands and pushes on the gate which does concern me because it looks as if it might fall over but it has not so it appears to be quite secure. I am very glad I made this purchase and would recommend to others.
Happy Grandparents November 29, 2008 Grandpa B The Summer Infand Secure Surround Play Yard is exactly as advertised. Easy to assemble. Gate works perfectly. Just what we need to keep our grandbabies safe and ourselves sane.
A fence November 22, 2008 T. O. Kayes It is used to fence off parts of the room and the house. It is sturdy, without being heavy. It folds and unfolds smoothly.
Very Helpful! November 12, 2008 Mercedes Johnmeyer (Kingsland, GA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this gate a couple months ago. My son was not yet crawling, but he could scooch himself wherever he needed to go. It was perfect for keeping him in one place with all his toys, and away from the tables and plants that he was wanting to get into. However, as he got older, and learned to crawl and get around more quickly, I felt bad sticking him in here. There really isn't much room to move around (I can't even imagine putting TWO children in this). I ordered the two panel extension, but never received it (they canceled my order...argh!). Having to improvise, I used my couch as a natural barrier on one side, and attached each end of the gate to each end of my couch. It gave him TONS of room! Now he can crawl all over the living room without getting into anything, and the gate's sturdy enough that he can't move it or knock it over. It's a HUGE help!
very useful item November 10, 2008 Brenda L. Christner (amish country) I find this item to be very useful. We set it up in the front yard and it kept our 20 month old contained while my husband and I raked and cleaned up the leaves. We also plan to use it around our Christmas tree this year to keep her away from the tree. The locking gate on this item is a nice feature as well.
