Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Hanging window blind cords are dangerous to your child. The Blind Winder stores the cords while allowing you full use of your blinds. A spool inside the palm-size plastic case works like a yo-yo, except you push a button to automatically open/close or raise/lower. It automatically retracts the window blind cord just like a tape measure! Works with horizontal, mini, venetians and pleated blinds. 2 per pack. 2.3"H x 2.3"W x .75"D.

5 out of 5 stars The only one that works   October 14, 2008
Ang (Kzoo)
Awesome love it! A little hard to figure out at first but once you "get it" it is very easy. Don't try any other brands as they DO NOT WORK and just fall apart.

These Blind Winders work wonderfully even on our bamboo blinds which have really thick cords. I would recommend these to anyone!

This is exactly what I was looking for. It allows me to quickly wind up the cords of my window blinds and although the instructions say to trim the cord, I didn't need to.

4 out of 5 stars They work and you don't need to drill   September 11, 2007

Initially, I thought I would have to cut the cord on my blinds. However, we have been able to just use them as is. They work and easily store the cord away from little hands. Better than our previous method of hanging the cord up on the blinds. They are probably not super sturdy, but they are fine for the purpose.

4 out of 5 stars best product out there for long blinds   March 27, 2007

Our one-year olds are effectively foiled by these. For really long blinds (from really tall windows) they are less work and a ton quicker than the manual wind-around-the-plastic-piece method and I didn't have to drill into woodwork or walls. Our blinds were too long to work with the other kind of cord winder used to just permantly take up slack. Yes, they aren't the sturdiest things around. I think they'll probably last us only 1-3 years (with repairs) before completely dying. Yes, you can repair them yourself...assuming some mechanical ability and 2 very patient spare hours of time to rewind the spring. Worth it only to us where time comes easier than money ;) Also, the more cord you try to wind the less well they work. And for goodness sake read the directions and don't just pull the cute little plastic pin before attaching it to something (thus un-winding the spring and making it a blindtoggle instead of a blindwinder) And YES, I'd still buy these again because they still wind all of my blinds in less than 30 seconds in the morning and keep the cords safe from the kids. Worth it for me.
