Product Description If you're looking for a versatile safety gate, this is a good choice. The First Years All Clear Swing Gate sports a good-looking molded plastic frame with clear plastic center panels. It can be doorway mounted using pressure or permanently mounted using the included hardware. When pressure mounted, the gate doesn't swing open but is easily portable from room to room. When hardware mounted, the gate swings easily one way or two ways, and can be used in doorways or at the top of stairs. Regardless of the way in which it is mounted, the gate slides to expand and fits doorways ranging from 27.5" to 42.5" wide.

Liked it so much I bought it twice. October 19, 2008 Heather (Tustin, CA United States) I bought this gate when I had my son, who is now 3. It just broke this week, and I'm buying it again, for my daughter who's 1. This gate is great for the price. The clear panels let you see what's going on on the other side. There is nothing for little ones to use to climb. And I find it pretty easy to move from the top of the stairs to the bottom during the day.
Better looking than most October 13, 2008 HaDice I purchased two of these gates. One, to keep my little devil dogs confined and two because my son is on the verge of crawling. Very sleek design, easy to use, and taller than previous gates I've had. For dog owners, show them that there is a gate before they come barreling around the corner and run into it!
Love this gate August 11, 2008 CT Gal (Glastonbury, CT) This great is great. I have a maltipoo puppy who climbed over her pen. These gates keep her in the kitchen with no footholds to use to climb over. If you are buying this for a small puppy there is a small opening on the side that they could try to squeeze their heads through when they are super small; however at 2.5 months Peanut was not able to fit through it.
Love this gate!!!! June 2, 2008 Kristen VanDerMolen (Chicago Suburbs, IL) I own three of these gates and I love them! I have all of them mounted on the hardware as oppossed to just pressure mounting them. I have a very active 2 year-old boy. He will hang off of them, slam them open and close when he can, and just flat out bang on them. I love that I can see through them and I don't have to worry about my son sticking his arms through any bars. The only downside to this gate is that the clear plastic has gotten marks from my son banging his toys on it and it is very hard to remove some of them. Overall, I would recommmend this gate to anyone!
I love this gate! April 6, 2008 Kathleen Haffar I am a Grandmother and I own 3 of these gates, one each at the top and bottom of my stairs and one leading into my formal living room. I shopped extensively before purchasing this particular one. I chose this gate because it is easy to use and looks nice in my home. It can be used as a pressure gate or as an attached swinging gate. If you decide to attach it, as I did, it only takes 2 seconds to release the hinge and remove it, which is what I do when the grandkids are not here. I've had these gates for over a year and I'm still very happy with them!
