5 out of 5 stars Great for play areas   November 23, 2008
Destiny Hager
These mats are great. They are easy to clean. I just run the vaccum cleaner over them with the brush off, then I mop them when I do the rest of the house. I also found them in other colors at Target to included a blue camo, a pink camo and green. TYhe camo ones can be used on either side. The reverse side of the blue camo ones is a light blue, and pink for the pink ones. We have wood floors and theses are great to go over them. They are also good for toys that move by themselves. Carpet sometimes slows toys like this down and wood floors really aren't that fun to lay on, so this is reat. I dropped a ceraminc piggy bank from 4 1/2 feeet up on to them and it didn't break. They can be a bit slippery especially the ones with the camo on them for kids with socks. Bare feet of socks with the grips on the bottom are good for this, but if you live in a house where you have wood florrs, that is probally the only kind of socks you buy anyways. Overall great product and they can be found in other colors you just need to be on the lookout.

5 out of 5 stars Pefect for tummy time!   November 16, 2008
Riliec
I bought this product for my 4 month old. The pieces lock in and stay in place. The mat is very durable and perfect for tummy time. Pieces wipe clean easily and are firm, but soft. I would definitly recommend this product to parents with babies.

3 out of 5 stars Not a toy, Floormats for my feet   October 21, 2008
Ronald P. Mooney (Burton, MI USA)
I love the floormats, they help my arthritic feet, but I am disgusted with the manufacturer for changing the size/spacing of the interlocking part of the mats. I bought some recently at a local Target store and they will not interlock with the ones I had previously purchased locally and through amazon.com.

5 out of 5 stars Great playmat   October 19, 2008
Corinna Lo (United States)
This is a great playmat. I have this playmat. I also have a set of a competitor product which I got earlier for $10 only. Compare to that, this playmat is thicker, provides better "cushioning" if my baby falls, each square locks to each other tighter, it does not come with edge pieces which is good (because my baby has been pulling the edge pieces from the competitor product out and put into his mouth). The material is tougher making it not easy to chew off. We bought two sets initially, and I love them so much that we bought another two sets making a big safe area for my baby to explore.

4 out of 5 stars 24" playmat   October 7, 2008
glee (Oakland, CA)
Bought this playmat after reading all the other reviews. Easy set up, they just connect to each other.
They have an oily film on them. I scrubbed it down with regular dish washing liquid and removed most of it but they still leave a slippery residue on the wood floors.
So makes me wonder about what this oil is since babies will taste everything in sight. For now we cover it with a blanket to make sure our baby doesn't eat that oily film. We let it air out for awhile because it has a strong plastic smell when first unpacked.
The baby has rolled over and pop his head a few times on the mat and does not seem to mind, so I guess it's doing it's job. Wish there were more color selections available.
Just the oil bugs me. I wish I knew what it was.
