Listen to the reviews and stay away! July 29, 2008 Kim Reith 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We bought this stroller because a number of other sites had mostly good reviews. There were a few very low ones in there, BUT I DID NOT LISTEN! You should listen. The first 1 we had, the front wheel lock didn't work. Also, it's an all-terrain stroller, which is what we wanted (lots of walks on the bike path, etc). Well, after 3 times on the bike path (VERY hard packed dirt) the wheels totally locked up and squeaked. Contacted zooper and they sent me another. We have used that one about 15 - 20 times. The front canopy has ripped and the brakes do not work at all. I would not recommend this to anyone and am sorry I wasted my $500. I don't even feel I can sell it second hand since the brakes don't even work.... please listen and don't waste your money. Go with a more well known brand...... In addition this is a very large and heavy stroller, so not at all good for bringing anywhere......
Zooper Zydeco April 19, 2008 M. Bassett (Pennsylvania) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased the Zydeco after "watching" a review on YouTube that claimed it was "the Mercedes of three-wheel strollers". Unfortunately, the one that I ordered wasn't even close. The seat recline mechanism was faulty, so the back hung down lower on one side (unsupported and unsafe). The assembly instructions were terrible, but I was able to fill-in-the-gaps by looking at pictures of a fully assembled stroller. Considering how heavy the stroller is ... I thought that it would be sturdy, but it's actually pretty wobbly. I'm sticking with my Britax Vigour ... it might have a lousy sunshade, but at least it's safe and sturdy.
Disappointed in the quality. March 25, 2008 Christi Archibek (SoCal, USA) I bought this stroller because it looks great, I really wanted a black stroller with air inflated tires. BIG mistake! When it arrived I was so excited!! We started putting it together right away. After about a 2 hour assembly time I realized that it was broken :( The cable for the reclining seat was broken causing only half the seat to recline. I contacted Zooper, which sent me a new seat with no hassle and free of charge. When the new seat arrived it was a PAIN to get the fabric cover off the original seat and on to the new seat. SO when my baby arrived I decided to take him for a stroll through the mall. I finally managed to cram the stroller into the roomy trunk of my BMW 5-Series (this stroller takes up a LOT of trunk space) and we headed off to the mall. Once we were in the mall I heard a wierd clicking sound coming from the right rear tire. I stopped to check it and could not find anything wrong. So we kept strolling, and it kept clicking (actually it was a bit embarrassing!) My husband, who is very mechanically inclined checked the tire assembly and could not fix the problem either. For $500+ I would expect better quality. Did I also mention that the cargo space on this stroller is MUCH smaller than it looks? A Nordstrom shopping bag won't even fit in the basket. So we are returning the Zooper Zydeco and getting a BumbleRide Queen B. Hopefully that is made better!
Nice stroller but extremely heavy January 21, 2008 Anna S. (USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I purchased this stroller because I loved the way it looked online. We were expecting our first baby and didn't really know what kind of stroller we wanted and which was the best. This one was quite expensive at almost $500 bucks but hey, you want what is best for the baby. The colors were nice (exactly as shown on the photo), quality of materials was also great - overall it looked really good. It is not all about the looks though. The stroller turned out to be very heavy...too heavy for me to lift and put into my car. ( I am 5 4' ). It also took a lot of space when folded and was not as easy to fold as expected. It fit in the suv with no problems but did not fit into our 07 Audi A4. That's something you should consider if you don't have an suv. I returned it.
Steer Clear of this Model October 10, 2007 J. McVane (Mansfield, MA USA) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
Zooper Zydeco Stroller Dark Green Bought it and returned it. This is supposed to be Zooper's "elite" stroller. The product description and high rating had me all the way. We thought this stroller would take us wherever we wanted to go: neighborhood, mall, beach, trails. As rugged as this stroller looks, it sure is delicate. All three wheels were a disaster. The back wheels wobbled. One of them kept rubbing up against one of the mechanisms attached to the frame. The front wheel "Turn" mechanism never worked properly. As a result, unless manually turned, the front wheel stayed locked into place. The seat fabric (advertised as "Smart Fabric") started wearing out immediately. When opening and closing the stroller, the unprotected front bumper is the first thing to hit the ground, therefore, is constantly getting scratched. You have to open and close the hood very carefuly so as not to knock the "Turn" and "Brake" wires (which run along the inside of both sides of the frame) out of their brackets which will then inhibit the mechanisms from working at all. This added to the limited about of times they ever worked properly. Every outing with this stroller proved to be very frustrating.
