4 out of 5 stars Stylish....   October 16, 2008
Christina Post (Honolulu, HI USA)
I like how this stroller folds compact enough to fit behind a car seat. I had a combi before this stroller and liked the fact that there was a strap attached to the stroller so that you could carry it over your shoulder, i wished this stroller had one! its heavier than the combi, but it is easier to maneuver and the ride is smooth. I also like the basket and how far back the seat reclines when my dtr takes a nap. It also has a nice, big sunshade, where as my combi didnt. Overall, its a great stroller.

3 out of 5 stars Not Quite What We Expected...   September 28, 2008

I own the crimson Baby Planet Solo stroller and have been walking my 9 month old daughter with it 6 miles per week, for the last 16 weeks. The stroller has been to the zoo, gone antiquing, and is used periodically for Church events.

I'm not 100% onboard with this Baby Planet stroller. The stroller is very large and weighs 17 lbs. The stroller is very inconvenient to steer one-handed. The left handle on the stroller arrived from the manufacturer loose. DH tightened the screw using a hex screwdriver and the handle is now loosening up again. The handles are also too short. My 5'11" DH kicks the back wheels while pushing the stroller.

Opening and collapsing this Baby Planet stroller is very easy and a two handed operation, unless you have the coordination of a Ninja.

Be prepared to get creative when you use the basket as there is huge cross-bar going through the basket's center. The basket is a joke really.

The stitched seams along the foot rest are starting to pull apart and the fabric sleeve over one of the five-point shoulder straps has come apart. Very disappointed with the seam and handle issues and will need to contact the manufacturer to see what they do or say about it.

Allow me to re-iterarate the sheer size and weight of this stroller. I would not recommend this stroller if you are an urbanite. I cannot imagine carrying this stroller with a child and STUFF, on and off a city bus.

Anyhow, this stroller hasn't lived up to our expectations. Our first child is almost 9 years old and we purchased a Combi for him. The Combi weighs less, looks new, and the fabric and stitching have held up well and are fully intact.

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful Stroller!!!   July 8, 2008
someone's mom (Alabama, USA)
This is the forth stroller I've purchased since my son was born 7 months ago, and I haven't been happy with any untill this one!!! It is AMAZING!!! Worth every penny. It's the easist stroller I've ever put together, and its narrow enough to get through alot of those department store eisles. It's extremly sturdy, like a full size stroller would be, but with the convience of an umbrella. If I had to add one more thing to the stroller itself, it would only be an extra cup holder. GET THIS STROLLER, ITS AWESOME!!!

5 out of 5 stars The best stroller!   June 6, 2008
Irene A. (California)
After reading reviews for Maclaren and Chicco strollers, I decided to purchase the Baby Planet Solo Sport. First of all, it was easy to assemble. I had to practice folding it a few times before I got the folding down. We brought it to Disneyland for 3 days this week and it was easy to fold and take on the parking lot tram. My 17 month old was able to fall asleep a few times with the seat reclined all the way down. I do find the stroller easy to maneuver. I found the crossbars in the middle of the basket awkward, but you can place items underneath it. Overall, I think it's a sturdy, lightweight stroller and in my opinion worth every penny.

2 out of 5 stars Baby Planet Solo Sport stroller   April 19, 2008

I purchased a Baby Planet Solo Sport stroller based on the great reviews it has received. After one week, I sold the Solo Sport and purchased a 2008 Maclaren Quest Sport. I couldn't be more happier with my Maclaren purchase. The Baby Planet has 3 features that are better than the Maclaren: (1) the latch on the 5 point harness is easier to open & close (2) the extendable leg rest is more user friendly and (3) does not tip over with several shopping bags on the handles. The following are the reasons why I sold the Solo Sport ASAP and RAN to buy a Maclaren: (1) bulkiness (2) heaviness (no, it's not lightweight) (3) not suitable for tall moms (I'm 5'11"); I constantly kicked the rear wheels (4) with shopping bags on the back, I actually had to walk hunched over....very uncomfortable, (5) cannot wheel the stroller up & down stairs because the rear brakes protrude from each wheel and (6) I could NOT push this stroller with one hand. In fact, even with 2 hands it was cumbersome. I addressed my concerns with Baby Planet by email and mail and have yet to hear a response. Based on my experience of test-driving several strollers and buying the Baby Planet Solo Sport, I am now a diehard Maclaren fan/customer.
