Great lightweight stroller. Easy open and close. Perfect size for quick travel. Fully reclines for nap times. Purchase the Protect-a-Bub single canopy for complete sun protection and the stroller's perfect for walks in the sun.

5 out of 5 stars An affordable toned-down version of the Zippy   June 29, 2007

In general, the Inglesina Trip 2007 is a great everyday, errand and travel stroller. You'll be hard pressed to find a lighter stroller with as many features.

Pros: The Trip 2007 has increased its weight capacity to 45lbs, up from 35 lbs in 2006. The stroller is easy to maneuver, feels sturdy and has tons of features like an adjustable footrest, suspension, 6.5" inch wheels, reflective accents for night, a peek-a-boo window on top of the canopy to check on baby, a good size canopy with a visor-type extension, a large storage basket, and a deep recline that's great for napping. The Trip weighs 15.2 lbs with canopy; adding a padded stroller travel bag for check-in (sold separately), it weighs 17.2 lbs. The handles are set far back from the seat so your feet don't kick the wheels. It also has a zippered pocket in back for keys, wallet, cell phone, etc., plus a removable cup holder. The navy color is beautiful and hides dirt well, with soft grey accents inside and on the trim.

Cons: It's a little big for infants. My 8-month old baby looks small in it; the harness is loose and up by his ears - as it should be, as this stroller should give him room to grow. The fold is narrower but longer than the Zippy's. The handles, at 42.5", are not adjustable - better suited for taller parents (i'm 5'7" and they're a little high but not uncomfortable). The carrying handle on the side has a rubber grip and makes it easy to carry, but a shoulder strap would have been better. The stroller folds like the Maclaren, not like the Zippy, but with minimal effort it can be folded with one hand while holding your child.

If you're trying to decide between the Trip and the Zippy, the latter fully loaded, is 21 lbs, 23 lbs w/ a travel bag (sold separately), has more padding, rubber tires, an amazing one-hand closing system, a snack tray/ bar, car seat compatible, and a large boot which makes it better for cold weather, grass and uneven surfaces. However, the Zippy's harder to travel with and costs almost twice as much.

The Inglesina Trip is a less glamorous version of the Zippy and better suited for travel. Although it's a little on the heavy side compared to other umbrella strollers, it's premium quality and will take your child in greater comfort wherever you go for years to come.
