Product Description The aluminum-framed MetroLite LE provides the sturdiness of a standard sized stroller with the comfort and convenience of a lightweight stroller. The never-flat rubber tires promise a smooth ride and because they are made of solid rubber they are puncture proof - no flats! The comfy seat reclines to 3 positions, including nearly flat for infants. An adjustable handle allows mom and dad to each adjust the stroller to their height needs and both mom and dad are sure to enjoy the one-hand fold mechanism which makes storing the stroller a breeze. Plus the MetroLite LE is outfitted with an extra-large lower and load storage basket, making it easy to access even when your child is asleep! The MetroLite LE also features an infant head rest, a large canopy with top and rear peek-a-boo windows, and a parent organizer and child snack tray - both outfitted with a cup holder. loved it. someone stole it..low! September 30, 2008 C. Hynds I owned this and I loved it. The basket, the cup holders, it was all great. It was a little bulky, but not too bad and once you got rolling, it was great. The wheels worked well. I own a Peg Perrego and a Chicco and a jogger too. This was the best. I left it in a parking lot of a store after I loaded my child in the car and all the packages. I was preoccupied with a migraine headache and I drove off without it. When I went looking for it later, someone had taken it. Could have turned it in to a store. I hope they have bad luck. I am so mad about it.
Terrible Assembly Instructions August 17, 2008 Solomon (Colorado) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this stroller for my grandson and had the unenviable task of assembling it. The wheels, child's tray, and parent's tray have to be attached. This would not be a very difficult task if the assembly instructions had been reasonably good, but they are not. In fact, I consider the instructions among the worst that I have ever encountered. For the most part, the instructions consist of pictures, requiring one to figure out what they refer to. After having pretty much finished assembling the stroller, I found that I was missing a part shown in the instructions. (I know you are supposed to look at the parts list first and I did, but I thought (correctly as it turned out) that the missing item was part of the canopy, so I went on to assembly the unit.) As I was finishing, I got the idea that the missing part was part of the harness assembly, which was necessary to support the seat-back, so I went on a fruitless one-hour search for it. Finally, I went back to Babies are Us (the item is no longer available from Amazon) to see if they had an extra part, and they were nice enough to open a new box to get me one. Low and behold, this part was not in that box either, nor was this part on the floor model. They showed me how to secure the seat, and we came to the conclusion that my first impression had been correct; the U-shaped bar shown as a separate item in the instructions was actually already installed as part of the canopy. (I still do not know where the shoulder harness anchor is (what I thought may have been the missing part), but I could not find it on the floor model, and by now I was convinced that what I assembled was the same as the floor sample.) The assembled stroller suits my daughter and grandson's needs and they like it. On that basis I would have given it a 5 star review, but I cannot because of the misleading assembly instructions; hence the 3 star rating. I believe that the ease (or lack thereof) of assembly is an important consideration when purchasing any product. I hope that my warning about a part shown in the instructions that does not actually exist as a stand alone part will prevent someone else from having to spend a frustrating afternoon assembling this product.
greatest deal ever! June 20, 2008 loves 2shop alot (amish country) Love this stroller. i had to get it becuase my son kept throwing himself out of the 3point harness double stroller i had. This is awesome he hasnt thrown himself out of this one! oh and best price ever!
Great Deal June 17, 2008 Constant Shopper (Charlotte, NC United States) I bought this when they had on sale for $[...]. I was very hesitant because I have had such bad luck w/ strollers. This one is awesome and would have paid more if i had to. steers easily. large basket underneath. very easy to fold. great cup holders. its a little smaller. my 2 1/2 yr old wont be fitting much longer but my 8 month old should be able to use it for the next couple of yrs. dont hesitate to buy this one. It is worth every penny.
Great value May 28, 2008 Wilson (Trinidad) We bought this stroller because of the price and reviews and we were very pleased with it. I was able to assemble it easily at 7 months pregnant..it took about 30 minutes. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I like the fact that it has a neutral colour, the seat can recline all the way back for a newborn and it can be folded up with the press of 2 buttons. Its not as lightweight as i thought, but i'm really happy with it and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for an affordable stroller.
