Does just what I need it to do! October 3, 2008 emommy 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I read many reviews of this stroller online as well as those of other side by sides. I also had a friend go to a stroller store and personally "test drive" several strollers. In her opinion, this one was the best for what I needed. It is extremely lightweight (21 pounds) and folds extremely easy. I have one of the biggest SUV's available and it is no problem lifting it in and out of the vehicle. The swivel front wheels are amazing. It turns unbelievable! The reclining seats are wonderful for younger babies and sleeping babies. I started using this with my twins when they were about 3 1/2 months old. For me, it made the difference in being able to get out of the house with them. We already had a double snap n go stroller that their infant seats fit in, but they did not want to be in those seats anymore than they had to. So I literally could not get out of the house to take them anywhere by myself. Once we purchased this stroller, I was able to get out with them and go places. They really seem to enjoy this stroller. I will agree with other reviewers on some of the negative aspects of the stroller. The main two for me being: cupholders are very shallow and the bar that goes thru the underneath baskets. That is why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. However, those two inconveniences in no way hinder my recommending this stroller as a great purchase!!
Had it for a year now and love it September 5, 2008 Mom of 6 good kids 4 stars I bought this before my twins were born a year ago after trying all the double strollers out on the market. I defiantly made the right decision! Pros: * Light weight, the most light weight stroller I have ever had :) * Folds up easy! Such a simple and compact storage design. * Fits though any doorway with easy. * Easy maneuverability and turns on a dime! * Pushes easily on any surface. Sidewalk, grass, department store floors. * Cup holders in front come in handy * Seats are comfy and easy to adjust. * Material is soft and easy to keep clean. * Canopies provide lots of shade and have peak a boo windows. The canopies on the LX are bigger then the ones on the sport. * Baskets below are small but big enough to be very usable, and they stretch. Cons: * Slippery seats. You better buckle up those newborns or they WILL go sliding out! * I wish the seats sat at a 90 degree angle, but it's not bad. * The cup holder on the handlebar is not so useable. * The harness and buckle system is horrible. It took me a long time to learn to use it and the straps are really hard to adjust. I hate it :( If it went for those straps I would of given it a 5 star. But it is still the best twin stroller for the money around. I did not use the car seat option with it so I have no opinion on that aspect.
What a relief! September 2, 2008 S. Dominelli 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love this stroller! I had a tandem stroller, and I hated it! Took it back and researched for the "perfect" double stroller. I have a 2 year old, and a 3 month old. I love to go for long walks and take the kids shopping with me. I needed something easy to maneuver, lightweight, and sturdy. Yes, it has small storage baskets, but I knew that before I bought it, so it wasn't an issue for me. I simply hang a large diaper bag from the handles. The things I love about the stroller are: -easy to fold and unfold -lightweight -looks great -5 point harness -independent, fully reclining seats -I love that I can steer this stroller with one hand. With the tandem stroller, I needed two people to steer it! -fits down every isle and through every doorway that I've come across ...plus much more! I would definitely recommend this stroller!
Compact, easy fold, light weight, glides like butter, comfortable! August 21, 2008 M. Hammer (Irving, TX) I have two girls, a 29 mo old and a 11 month old. After beating ourselves down with an umbrella stroller and a Graco stroller, my husband and I finally agreed to get over our cheap selves and get a twin stroller. Many of our friends warned us that the back to back strollers were just too big, bulky, heavy and frustrating because the kids wanted to interact... or fought over who went in the front. I researched just about every stroller at Baby's R Us and at malls---bugged parents to give me feedback...and of course the net. This one by far got the best ratings. I ordered it and can't begin to tell ya'll how great it has been despite its few pitfalls. 1. The little baskets underneath aren't the greatest...you really can't squeeze a bag down there.... 2. The cupholder/snack trays take a little getting used to because the guards are removeable and soft vs. hard plastic (which they need to be in order to facilitate the folding). But, most of all, they are not very deep so cups aren't as secure. The upside: 1. My babies looooove sitting next to each other. 2. I've been able to get through all doors and most isles that are reasonably spaced. Some stores just abuse their space and cram too much too close together and frankly...it's hard to get any size stroller throgh some of those spaces. All in all, the width is very accomodating in this regard. 3. The materials and padding are great. Beat Graco hands down. 4. The seats recline independently and to a full horizontal position. Babies slept like princess'. 5. Glides like butter and steering has been very smooth even with one baby out of the stroller. 6. Looks sleek and modern. 7. Easy to fold and store. It has a strap that I actually use to roll the stoller when it is in a folded position. The weight is not unreasonable but why struggle when I don't have to. ...and 8. I almost forgot: the attached diaper bag is cool and has a few pockets to help the 'stuff' cause. If you are a pack rat and can't downsize your loads (diaper bags/shopping bags), you might find adapting to this stroller a little hard. Frankly, I'm glad I've been forced to downisize to the essentials. I have a JuJuBee back pack diaper bag that I pack the baby essentials in and throw snacks and sippy cups in the baskets underneath. Keys and phone in the little pockets, extra wipes in the 'diaper bag' and I am set to go. I am liberated! I highly recommend it based on the landslide positives despite the basket and snack tray area. Definately worth the money so far.
