2 out of 5 stars cumbersome   August 9, 2008

Okay-on the up side, it has a very smooth ride and is spacious. Also, both car seat and stroller come apart for easy cleaning. BUT... The seat will not raise to an upright position, it almost gets there but not really, my child is always slightly reclining unless he sits forward without resting on the back. This stroller folds totally weird, you can't avoid having it touch the ground on folding (let us imagine parking lot grime). When it is folded, it cannot remain upright unless carefully braced against something. It is very, very heavy and hard to lift. Would you like to place it in your trunk-ha-it's so large when folded you must wiggle, shift, flip around for a car-better in an suv but still heavy and hard to shift. Look the weight of it and the crazed way it folds is a real issue-remember you will have had a baby and later you will be trying to hold a baby and deal with it. Arduous. Ah one final little tiny thing, the viewing window on the canopy has a velcro flap and folds forward-if you would actually like to look at your child you will have to hold it open or attach your own extra velcro because it flips toward the front and the very motion of moving forward closes it, that's right factory velcro is set up not to hold it open-just annoying.

5 out of 5 stars Love it, quick service   July 8, 2008

We received this product promptly and as promised. It was our second Evenflo travel system. An older Evenflo travel system we bought for our first child will be stowed in my husband's car and this will be in mine. You can tell by the weight and dimensions advertised that it isn't a flimsy, small umbrella stroller, but it still easily fits in the trunk of the car and folded closed, upright in the broom closet, takes up minimal space. It is very sturdy, roomy, easy to take apart and clean thoroughly. It is also a breeze to maneuver between aisles in the store and outdoors, just about anywhere, even loaded with a kid, shopping bags and tons of gear. It saved my back to have this handy, and I wouldn't be caught without it with children under age 4. The infant carrier is padded well and the print is beautiful on the fabric. I like the base on this model better than the older one I had years ago. The carrier is easily removed from the base. Everything on this model has been improved upon and I'm even happier the second time around. If you have a lot of stuff to carry around, want to spare your back the burden and plan on putting your stroller through heavy use, meet your new best friend.

2 out of 5 stars Not Travel Friendly and ONLY works with Base   June 13, 2008

At first the travel set seemed perfect. My friends said get one with a base since it makes getting in and out easy. In that respect I would have to agree. We got a second base for our other car just to make getting in and out easy. DOWNSIDE Unlike some other base systems this car seat ONLY works with the base. While traveling overseas where cars don't always fit a base we were unable to use the car seat and had to get another one. During plane rides without the base you can't strap it in. Now with day care we are going to need to by them a base. When looking for a travel system with an easy base make sure the car seat can stand alone if needed. The stroller also folds flat not upright so it doens't store well in the house. Nor does it travel on planes well. The wheels will bend right off.
