Clunky and prone to punctures - I wish I hadn't bought this October 3, 2008 D. Vaughan (Brooklyn, NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We thought this looked good and would be a comfortable ride for our little guy, but unfortunately we've not been able to use it for the last SIX weeks because one of the back tires has disintegrated. We used this maybe 30 times over the course of 5 months and had several punctures that are now beyond repair. We've been waiting for over a month for Quinny to send a replacement. Aside from this, the stroller is large and really heavy. There are probably far more useful strollers out there that still look good - I noticed Maxi Cosi has one that also connects to its mico car seat (which we have, and it is great). Avoid the Buzz!
decent but nothing special September 8, 2008 Moe Hong (Arlington, VA) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a 3-star stroller, maybe a 4-star, at under $200. At the current price, it's a big fat zero, but I have to give it one because it looks neat. If you want to pay an enormous amt of money for looks, rather than giving the difference to charity or buying books or putting it in your kids' college fund, then go to town. I was not impressed however ... but like I said, if you've got money to earn and price is immaterial to you, go for it.
Things I didn't consider before the baby was here... September 4, 2008 Jennifer Adams (Seattle, WA USA) We love this stroller! When we were stroller shopping, I was single-minded about picking the carseat first and from there, the best stroller available to match. We decided on the Britax Companion infant seat and I still am 100% happy with our decision. Where we went wrong was underestimating the importance of a great stroller. The Buzz is far superior to the stroller we bought to match our Companion. The reasons it is better are things that I didn't understand the importance of before baby was here. I'm not even going to touch on how unbelievably sexy and innovative this new stroller is and as you can see from other reviews, it lives up to the hype. Here are the two reasons that have made me a believer: 1) Comfortable seat. -- The buzz has thick, dense, cushy foam and hugs our little one like a dream. She is incredibly content in this seat which makes long walks fun again. Our other stroller has a canvas covered thick cardboard seat. I now understand why she was not happy in there for long. 2) Sunshade is incredibly flexible and can keep the sun out of her eyes from any angle. -- I live in Seattle and this was a detail that didn't seem important to me pre-baby. I was wrong. The sunshade on our other stroller is short and inflexible. It worked great, as long as the sun was behind baby. When we turned to walk the other direction, I would need to use a blanket thrown over to shield her. Not the case with the Buzz. The sunshade is incredible, it can fold down flat to completely encase the baby if necessary. I'm not sure what I would have done differently from the beginning because I love our carseat and loved having a stroller frame to put the carseat on. But, now that we're at the stroller phase (5 months) I see incredible value in the buzz and am really happy to have one!
what's not to like August 3, 2008 TSA (Everywhere) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Functional is great, but the truth is today's parents want style too - even (or maybe, especially!) when it comes to baby gear. We were frustrated with the sheer lack of good looking, functional stroller options - although we'd seen the Quinny online it just blew the other strollers out of the water when we saw it in person. We are using ours for our newborn with the Maxi Cosi infant carseat (also a great purchase). The Quinny Buzz is our favorite baby purchase so far.
Extremely poor tire quality, no parts availible in Canada July 8, 2008 Arthur Fofanov (Niagara Falls, ON) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Don't buy this stroller! For being such an expensive stroller Quinny Buzz made from very cheap material. Especially back (inflatable tires), it just a joke, we got a fist flat tire after 3 month of use. They sent us one replacement after 4 weeks, meanwhile we took old (el-cheapo stroller from our friends). After one year both tires went flat (I don't know what kind of rubber they are using, but tires were completely worn off). This time customer service wasn't that friendly they were keep saying us ("out of stock", "wait 4 weeks" and other BS). And they told me that tires for Quinny Buzz is not for sale in Canada (where we live) and could be only ordered from UK. So forget about warranty, you can't get one even if you want to pay for stupid tires. 4 month left!!! We still use old "el-cheapo" stroller that we borrowed from friends a year ago. My wife keep calling customer support once for a while, just because I make too much fun from this story. We bought it in Sears (Canada).
