Product Description The Nature's Touch Baby Papasan Cradle Swing provides soothing swinging variety for your baby. Not only does it swing front-to-back like a traditional swing, but it also has a gentle side-to-side motion like a cradle swing. This cozy nest-like seat comfortably cradles your baby in soft, multi-textured materials. Overhead a soothing motorized mobile incorporates 3 characters - a bird, a butterfly and a dragonfly - that each "fly" with a distinct gentle motion around a mirrored globe that allows your baby to see his or her surroundings. The Papasan Swing's removable toy bar features a fun toy, bead bars and a tray space providing additional activities. The swing features 6 speeds, 8 soothing songs, peaceful nature sounds, an infant head support insert and a 2-position seat recline. Folds easily for storage.
Editorial Review Adding a little bit of extra comfort to baby's world is always a wonderful thing and this big cushy chair from Nature's Touch provides a lovely place for baby to either hang out and be entertained or take a quick snooze. It's modeled after the popular Papasan chairs that are so often the purview only of grown-ups. In addition to the well-padded seat, there is a mobile of pleasant toys and a selection of electronic music, which we found to be much more soothing than is often the case and, mercifully, with adjustable volume. The seat can be set for swing or cradle setting and the liner is detachable and machine washable. --Charlie Williams

Great for pacifying baby November 18, 2008 Cali's Mom I bought this swing after a particularly trying day with my 5 week old, willing to try anything that may give me a moments rest. The swing has turned out to be great. While not a 'magic pill' for fussiness, the swing keeps my now 2 month old entertained and often lulls him to sleep. He loves the sounds and the motion around the mirror and we like that is swings side to side as well as front to back. I wish it plugged into the wall so we could save on batteries, but other than that....this is a great swing.
Great swing.... until it stopped working forever.... November 14, 2008 T. Kladzyk (Missouri City, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A friend gave me this swing, and it worked fine until today. The swing just stopped swinging. Everything else works fine, and I've recharged the batteries completely, so I know it's not that. The mobile still spins, and all the music still plays perfectly, it just doesn't swing.... I even opened it up to see if something was loose, but after doing some research online I've noticed people are buying replacement parts for $53, which isn't worth it for me to fix... I'm guessing this swing worked for about 6 months total, so if you're planning on using it for multiple children, or buying used, don't waste your time with this one!!
A Nap Saver! November 13, 2008 J. Salmonson (NH, USA) Now I KNOW you're not "supposed" to let your baby nap exclusively in a swing or whatnot, but my 3 and 1/2 wk son will NOT sleep in a bassinet during the day. He would wake up after 20 minutes, crying, and mom would have to hold and rock him and bounce and sing and talk to him for the next few HOURS before he would nap for another 20 minutes again. I just got this swing yesterday (actually didn't get it from Amazon, got a used one off craigslist) and my notoriously non-napping son (was once up for 7 and 1/2 hours!) is currently in his swing, NAPPING... for just more than an hour and a half now. He fussed for about 3-5 minutes then fell right asleep. My only "complaint" is mine doesn't plug in, so I have to be at the mercy of the four D batteries. Better stock up now...
THE BEST SWING!!! November 12, 2008 Kristine Mcfarland (Derry, New Hampshire) This is by far the best swing that money can buy. Also, it's much cheaper through Amazon than through any department stores. My one and only complaint about this swing is the mobile. It's a bit too plain and the bunny's ears get caught while spinning, causing a clicking noise. However, the good thing is that you can just turn it off. I never use the mobile and my one month old still loves it. The music, the nature sounds, she loves it all. Sometimes she just wants to swing in it while she's awake, but most of the time she falls right to sleep. And the fact that you can turn it to swing back and forth or side to side is an added plus! I highly recommend this swing to any parent, especially first time parents!
Life saver! November 11, 2008 Caitlin Carroll (Southern Arizona) I received this swing at my baby shower and from day one my daughter loved this swing. At newborn she fell asleep as soon as I put her in it and would stay asleep for hours. At 4 months she started to enjoy the mirror and would sing into it. The batteries lasted for about 4 months before they needed changed, and that was with constant use. I can't imagine life without it.
