Loved it from day 1 July 17, 2008 Maria Salinas (AR, USA) I bought this travel system in July of 07, 2 weeks before my son was born. Everything came perfectly in the box. Nothing was broken. It took me 20 mins to put the stroller together being 8 months pregnant. And it only took my husband 10 mins to install the car seat into the car. I chose it because i had gone to the learning curve website and saw that this car seat was made with the EPS foam used in bicycle helmets making it very cushiony & comfortable. It has a deep seat and high side wings for added protection, if i were ever to get in an accident and got hit on the side my little one would have that extra protection. Also the base when installed properly did not wiggle at all, compared to other seats i've seen. I see ppl giving it bad reviews because they cant go grocery shopping? Well i do, all i do is put the car seat side ways on top of the cart and since the bottom of it is so wide and sturdy it stays there and is secure unless your going roading in the grocery store you'll be fine. The car seat is also lighter than others, making it a plus for when mommies have to recover from c-sections or episiotomies. My son was and still is very fond of it, he always slept in it and still does when we go on long trips. I wish he didn't have to grow out of it now that he is almost 1. The only reason why i gave it 4 stars is because after using the car seat for a month it got stuck in the base, but when i called COMPASS i explained and they were very very nice and courteous and sent me a WHOLE NEW travel system. So i now had 2 strollers. Yeah it sucked that it got stuck but it showed me how safe it would be in an accident bc my husband is strong and could not get it out for anything. I also have it 4 stars bc the wheels do squeak but i put some stuff u put on bicycles and it went away and also because i wish it held babies who weighed 30lbs. I would def recommend this to people.
Heaviest Car Seat EVER! April 11, 2008 L. Nicholson I bought this travel system because it looked like a good deal and my baby budget book gave the brand good reviews. When I got it, it looked cute and I was happy with it until my baby came and I actually started using it. Even when my son was only 7 lbs., the car seat carrier was almost too heavy to carry anywhere. It doesn't fit into a shopping cart the way most infant seats do, which makes grocery shopping very difficult. About a month after we started using the system, the car seat got stuck in the base and we couldn't dislodge it for weeks. Even now, we have to fight with it every time we take it in and out. The stroller gets stuck in the locked position and the carseat doesn't lock easily into it. I hate this travel system and it is the only thing I will definitely not save for future children. Spend the extra money to get a more reputable brand, and by all means go to the store and check them out before buying!!!!
looks cool, doesn't work October 29, 2007 LB This travel system looks good (I got lots of compliments) but it didn't perform well. A minor problem: it was broken when it arrived. Amazon was great about replacing it, but it was a pain to have to send it back. The real problem, though, was that it steered terribly. you always needed to use two hands. At first this wasn't so bad, but the steering problem got progressively worse as the frame weakened over time. After about two months the stroller lost all stiffness and wobbled like crazy. After 4 months we couldn't take it anymore, and we threw it out. Here's my unsolicited advice: don't buy a travel system at all. Buy a car seat and a universal stroller base for it to use when your baby is little. When your baby is big enough to sit facing forwards, get an umbrella stroller. it won't cost you that much more and it will be WAY more convenient.
Looks great functions poorly June 13, 2007 Shyles Mom (San Diego) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It looks lovely to own but its very difficult to steer...drives you to feeling frustrated. Also now that its summer i thought the fabric overheated and its a horrid feeling for the baby :( The good thing...the PRICE ! Storage space is neat. Also the car seat has good cushioning and is very comfy.
Looks great, performs poorly May 25, 2007 K. Lewis (Michigan) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I went for this stroller over others because it has a unique look and bright colors - something different. I still love the look, but wish I could say the same for the product overall. It arrived with some markings already on it, taking away from that "new" feel. It also had a broken piece (stroller canopy thing) that the company was reluctant to replace, but did eventually send me a part, it was just the wrong one. Now, my son is 6 months old and I'm annoyed with the wierd way the stroller rides and how easily it overreacts to bumps, etc. It's also starting to squeak! Ugh!! I'm bummed, but don't feel too bad since the product had no reviews when I bought it.
