4 out of 5 stars More seat in a smaller space   November 22, 2008
Patrick Moroney (Red Bank, NJ)
This is a great car seat that seems to be structurally much stronger than traditional seats while occupying much less space.

We have a Rav4 and the seat fits very neatly behind the passenger or driver. Once our son turns one I'm going to get a Radian85 and put my son in the 65 while moving my three year old up to the 85. For a car with a smaller back seat these seats are fantastic.

I just traveled to Orlando from Newark and was delighted the seat could fold and was east to install in my rental (Toyota Highlander). One word of caution the seat weighs just over 25 pounds

Very happy with the seat so far.

4 out of 5 stars Great Seat!   November 5, 2008
R. Stadler (Philadelphia)
Great price for safety and convenince.

We love the slim dimensions of this car seat for our 2 year old son. There is plenty of room for a large adult in the backseat with the Radian and our other car seat (Britax Marathon).

It's heavy, yes, but that is due to the steel frame construction, which contributes to the great safety rating.

The straps are easier to adjust than Britax Roundabout and Marathon and I have never had problems with twisting.

Ideal for multiple children. In an SUV, the low profile of the Radian makes it easy to reach over to get a child out of a seat in the center. I'm not tall, so this was a struggle with our other seat.
(I did not give 5 stars only because my son would prefer sitting up a little higher, which seems to be the only down side to the low profile design.)

I believe that there is no such thing as a "perfect" stroller or car seat, but if you intend to leave the seat installed most of the time, have more than one child and need room for a full size adult in the back seat, you won't go wrong with the Radian.

5 out of 5 stars A++ for Safety!   October 25, 2008
MommyRN (WI)
This seat is awesome. I have three kids and for our oldest daughter we have and Evenflo Big Kid bosster and it just never felt safe, this 5 point harness is the way to go! If you have more than 2 kids this booster is a no-brainer as you can fit 3 car seats/ boosters across with this one. It is very well made and feels very sturdy. It is a bit tricky to figure out how to install the first time, but once in it's worth the hastle. My 3 year old was very excited to see her new "big kid" car seat!

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful Car Seat When You Need More Room   October 10, 2008
Mom of Three (Los Angeles, CA)
I recently had a third child and was in search for car seats for my car that would allow me to sit all three kids in the the back seat. This proved to be quite a challenge. I wasn't willing to sacrafice safety, so I went on a search. The Britax seats, although very nice, were too wide and there was no way I could put three car seats next to each other. I was plesantly surprised to stumble upon the Radian65. This seat appealed to my also because my oldest is almost 40 pounds, but I wanted to still keep her in a 5 point harness as long as possible.

I ordered two seats - one for my four year old and one for my two year old. Once I got these seats, I read the instructions very carefully. I was installing two of these into my car and the process was a long one. Because of the way I was installing the seats in my car (in the middle with the seat belt and one on the end with the LATCH system) the direction were very different for both.

Although the process was a long one, it was not difficult. I was able to get a nice tight fit for both seats. The seats are relatively heavy compared to other seats on the market due to the steel frame. The weight is mainly in the bottom of the seat, so it is not an issue unless you are moving seats around a lot. I drive a Mazda CX9, so at least twice a month I move one of the seats to the third row to accomodate an extra adult in the car. Even with moving the seat that much, it is not that big of a hassle.

I have had the seats installed for about 8 months, and I have never had either child complain of discomfort. We have taken several long trips, and they seem to be just fine in the seats.

I am extremely happy with this seat and will definitely buy another one when my youngest grows out of her infant seat.

These seats were a great investment and make me feel good knowing my children are in a very safe seat.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent! Very happy (former Britex owner)   September 29, 2008
J. Guinasso
I went from a large bulky Britex (which I loved!) to this seat for my 3 year old to streamline since I have a sedan and needed all the room I could get. I can't be happier. It is excellent. My daughter loves it too. She thinks it is a big girl chair. I would recommend this to anyone with a 2 year old +.
