I love this carseat December 27, 2007 N. Wood (UT USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have gotten so many compliments on how cute this carseat is. I wasn't going to get this carseat to begin with because the cost was so much more than other brands. After reading reviews of how sturdy and safe these carseats are we finally decided to get it. It doesn't seem any heavier than other carseats, despite what many reviews said. It may be a pound or so heavier but it isn't that noticable and seems like it just adds protection. I haven't had any problems with it, it seems to be very user friendly and my baby actually likes to sit in it. She likes the black and white print and will just stare at the edge of the hood over the seat. I would recommend spending the extra $ to get this safe, nice and very cute seat.
Great seat...but could do with a few modifications! December 27, 2007 A. Price (US) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I do like this seat - having been a fan of Peg Perego as the owner of a Pilko stroller, and impressed with its functions and quality I decided to purchase this and the matching stroller for the new arrival! Its very good quality - sturdy, safe, well made, great materials, great safety rating and looks great! The side head rests provide great protection from side impact collisions which a lot of seats do not offer! Its easy to install the base...one of the easiest LATCH systems I have seen on the base - clicks into place and is also easily removed! It has a level indicator on the seat to show you when it is properly in place! Adjusting the straps is a breeze! On the downside...this seems very heavy...more so than other models..but this could also be good in terms of safety -padding and protection . It could do with a head rest for small infants..sure you can purchase it extra but I feel it is much needed as part of the base system rather than an extra. It is quite difficult to remove from the base (though easy to drop in )..great in terms of protection again..but not so great when you are needing two hands to lift up the catch in order to get it out...and I imagine this will become more of a stuggle as our infant grows! It also requires use of both hands to lower the handle which must be done according to instructions when the seat is in use in the car so you have to reach over the baby and it can be quite a struggle - there is a button to push on each side so there is no way around this...and finally it is very tough to use in the stroller..the instructions are mainly diagrams and not that clear to follow - and even when you do have the written ones - actually locating the anchors and clicking the seat into the stroller is tough...you have to multitask..moving the seat straps out of the way and lowering the seat in...its not an easy process! And can take some time!! I am sure we will get used to this...it looks like it will last and be very safe which are important components...but user friendly is also a nice feature when you have an infant - and some of the features lack this!! All in all however, I do recommend this! Also an FYI..hopefully this has been resolved...but when I ordered from Amazon..this is the only time I have ever had an issue with them as they sent the wrong color multiple times and then had to cancel the order as they could not guarantee I would get revi black...this may now have been resolved!!
