Very Hip, best modern option for the $$ October 15, 2008 F. Schmidt (S.E. USA) We've been using for about 2 weeks and couldn't be happier. Attractive, easy clean-up and our daughter feels very safe and secure (the seat has a Bumbo Chair like design it, no sliding out..) We were torn between the Bloom Nano High Chair and this one and I feel like we made the right choice.... I highly recommend this chair for someone looking for a clean, modern high chair.
Everything it is made out to be October 14, 2008 Mom This is a very easy to use, easy to clean high chair, and was perfect for my son just as he was starting to use a high chair and was still a little unstable sitting up. The tray is at the perfect height, and the heigh chair is not too difficult to move for meals outside. I would recommend this high chair to anyone willing to spend the money, though he also has a high chair at his grandparents house that was $20 from IKEA and works just fine.
Fun, Functional, and Pretty September 30, 2008 T. Whatley (San Francisco, CA) I've had this chair for over 4 months now (purchased when she was 4 months old) and my little one has really grown to love it. We were a little eager to get her sitting up, so though she was a little slouchy at first, she's got the hang of it now. First off, it is by far the easiest high chair to "wipe" down. Yes, like another reviewer mentioned, the cushion can stain from things like spaghetti sauce, but I've found that if you soak it in soapy warm water it will remove most of it. And another trick in general to get out tough stains/grease, you just add a used up dryer "softener" sheet in the water and it removes stains more easily (this remedy works for removing stains from all over the house and cars). Anyhow, in most cases, the seat just needs a quick wipe down and a rinse of the tray and you're good to go for the next meal. Also, I wanted to mention in response to another reviewer that mentioned you can't remove the tray with one hand, you actually can, I do it ALL the time, you just have to pull one side out first and the other side will follow -- sort of a no-brainer (no offense). Secondly, lately I have been using the chair to wheel her around the house while I do chores, like cooking, cleaning, folding laundry -- we are fortunate that most of the house has hard wood floors, so I just scoot her all over and she thinks it's a fun game or something. And anytime she gets restless, I just spin her around and she giggles away! The lift has always worked for me as well as the brake, so I'm sorry to hear other people have issue, but like some have mentioned, BOON has the most AMAZING customer service I've ever encountered. They are the most kind, helpful, efficient native-english speaking customer service people around! I can't say enough about them (they helped me with some other Boon products -- feeding supplies that I purchased). Okay, last off, no one can deny it's an eye catcher. The unique design/appearance is just appealing. I have a baby blog (www.avawhatley.blogspot.com) and any time people have seen her in that chair, we get a ton of questions about where we got the chair and how cool it looks, etc. It creates quite a buzz and I think she has become the poster-child for the Boon products in general among my family, friends, and random visitors. Anyhow, another item you may want to check out is the Boon Squirt Spoon, it has also been a life saver (especially for traveling or going out to eat at restaurants)! Hope this was helpful!
Amazing customer service September 22, 2008 S. Mathew 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased the highchair while I was pregnant and had trouble with the lift mechanism. I called Boon and a "live" person answered the phone (I don't remember the last time I called a company and did not have to select an option). Although most of the company was at a trade show and could not call me back. The following Monday morning after the trade show, my phone rang and they took my information and sent a new lift shaft via fed-ex. I have never experienced such great customer service...EVER! If you do have any trouble with your highchair they will take care of the problem. I had read a similair review on Baby Bargains, so I felt comfortable purchasing a new to market product at the time. Now my chair functions perfectly, looks nice, and is easy to clean.
An excellent product September 9, 2008 Opera Mamma (Seattle, WA) We have a modern design aesthetic throughout our house, and this chair was primarily chosen to fit the existing furniture. We were very happy to discover that it is an excellent product aside from looking great. We have owned it for over a month and have had a wonderful time exploring the new world of solid foods for our six month old son in this chair. He is small for his age, but fits perfectly in this seat. The straps are very secure, and the molded seat fits him well and comfortably. Cleanup is VERY easy with the detachable tray and solid plastic construction. The wheels are also a key feature. Our son has lots of fun being rolled around by us (while he is strapped in with the tray in place) before and after the meals. It is also nice that we can just roll the chair from table to sink for cleaning before lifting him out of the chair (thus saving our clothes from residual food goo). There is ample room for him to grow and still use this chair. The pneumatic lift is a great feature as my husband and I are different heights, and we can adjust for greater comfort while feeding him. At the lowest height, the chair arms fit perfectly under our table for a nice tidy look between meals. I highly recommend this product.
