The Swing's compact size makes it easy to pump wherever you are. View larger. | Two-Phase Expression Technology The Swing features two-phase expression technology, an advanced pumping pattern that mimics a baby's natural nursing rhythm. This system works in two modes: the simulation mode and the expression mode. The simulation mode simulates your baby's initial rapid sucking to start your milk flowing, while the expression mode simulates your baby's slower, deeper suckling to express your milk gently yet efficiently. These modes work together to make pumping a quick and painless process. Comfortable and Convenient Compact enough to easily fit in your purse, this pump is both safe and comfortable to use, whether you're home, at work, or traveling. The Swing includes many features that help make pumping a positive experience. First, the one touch let down button lets you start pumping immediately, and results in faster milk flow. The included massaging SoftFit breast shield provide exceptional comfort, and the convenient, compact size of the pump lets you place it on a table top, or attach it to the belt clip or included shoulder/neck strap. You can even store it in your purse, briefcase or the included carrying bag for pumping on the go. Additionally, the adjustable vacuum and speed allows for customized pumping. When it comes to safety, the 100 percent Bisphenol-A (BPA) free Swing ensures a hygienic pumping experience and fresh, chemical-free milk for your baby. It also comes with two durable plastic storage containers and lids for sanitary storage of breast milk. Not for me November 21, 2008 Dwynnie (Illinois, USA) Well, this pump must work for some people, based on the number of good reivews, but it doesn't work for me--unless I have over an hour to pump 4 oz. I don't know whether it is the suction or the speed, but it just takes forever to get not nearly enough milk! Also, this pump has turned off on me for no reason! (I work from home and don't pump often, so nothing should be worn out yet!) I really like the fact that it is a single pump, as I only pump one side at a time, but this product just isn't good enough to feed my daughter with a bottle, forget about keeping my supply up. So, I'm still on the search for a good pump. (Lansinoh is my next try, even though it's a double.) Good luck!
Better than hospital grade November 17, 2008 Q. Levy I tried the hospital grade medela and the pump really hurts. This pump gradually pulls your milk down. GREAT PUMP.
Love It! November 13, 2008 J. Salmonson (NH, USA) While pregnant, I was sure I wouldn't use a breast pump. I found them intimidating and I thought they were too complicated... Then my sister gave me this one, and it couldn't be easier to use. It's efficient. Depending on my milk supply (whether or not I just nursed, etc) I can pump 1-4 oz. in about 15-20 minutes. This pump has truly been a life and sanity saver (I pump one bottle for the 1st nighttime feeding that my husband so wonderfully does for me so I can sleep!) with my 3 wk old son! I am so happy to have this pump!
Not enough suction--disappointing October 31, 2008 S. Hong (Baltimore, MD United States) I bought the Swing because of the great reviews, and boy, do I regret it. Out of the box, it was very weak and it took me about half an hour to just get 2 ounces. First, I thought it was broken, but I realize now that it's not...the power on this device is just really weak. I used to use a Pump in Style Advanced until it died on me, so I got the Swing. Maybe if you start with the Swing you'll like it. But if you are used to a Pump in Style Advanced, this will only disappoint.
It was great, for a while October 26, 2008 Christa T. Cullinane (Houston, TX) When I first started using the Swing I loved it. It was quick and easy. Now after eight months things are a little more difficult. My let down reflex is no longer being stimulated. I have gotten new shields and that doesn't seem to be the problem. As a result I can no longer give my baby bottles.
